Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) is stepping into the global spotlight with the launch of its first-ever GO1 World Championship, a landmark event that positions the strategy title as one of mobile esports’ fastest-rising stars. Set to culminate on January 25, 2026 at the M7 Carnival in Jakarta, the tournament will crown the world’s first GO1 champion—marking a historic moment for the game and its rapidly growing community.

Adding to its momentum, MCGG will also make its Southeast Asian (SEA) Games debut this December, becoming the first mobile Auto Chess game to be featured in the prestigious regional sporting event.

And with Season 4 launching on November 19, fans are in for even more excitement as THE KING OF FIGHTERS (KOF) franchise joins the battlefield in the game’s first major collaboration.

GO1 World Championship Sets a Global Stage for MCGG

MOONTON Games officially revealed the GO1 World Championship, marking MCGG’s first offline world tournament. The event will bring together 24 elite players from around the globe—including Asia, LATAM, Europe, EECA, MENA, and North America.

Players can qualify through MCGG Rising Stars (MRS) Season 4, the in-game competition system designed to highlight emerging talent. The most recent MRS champion, Sergio “SkAnDominc” Pablo Rojas Mamani from LATAM, earned his slot on November 16 after besting competitors worldwide.

Sergio expressed his excitement at qualifying:
“I never expected a game I play every day would take me this far. Competing at GO1 is a dream, and I’m ready to face the world’s best players.”

A Global Esports Celebration at M7 Carnival

The GO1 Grand Finals will unfold at the massive M7 Carnival, transforming Jakarta into a multi-day esports festival filled with live tournaments, fan experiences, entertainment, and meet-and-greets. The champion will be crowned alongside the world’s best MLBB athletes at the M7 World Championship.

Gao “Skyhook” Chong, MCGG Producer, shared:
“GO1 represents our commitment to accessible and democratic esports. Magic Chess: Go Go is more than a game—it’s a platform that empowers players and grows communities globally.”

MCGG Makes Historic SEA Games Debut This December

Another milestone is set for December 12, 2025, when MCGG debuts at the 33rd SEA Games as a demonstration sport. This marks the first appearance of a mobile Auto Chess game at the event, showcasing the title’s rising prominence.

Athletes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines will face off in a #BattleofWits, highlighting MCGG’s strategic depth, accessibility, and regional influence.

Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystems at MOONTON Games, said:
“Seeing MCGG stand alongside traditional sports is a proud moment. This is only the beginning of its journey as a global esports title.”

Thailand Esports Federation President Santi Lothong added:
“MCGG’s format creates opportunities for new athletes to represent their countries. Its SEA Games debut sets a new benchmark for esports inclusion.”

Season 4 Launches With THE KING OF FIGHTERS Collaboration

Players can expect:
