The Road to Glory: GO1 World Championship Begins
MCGG’s competitive scene reaches new heights with the introduction of the GO1 World Championship, the game’s first international tournament taking place in January 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament will run alongside the M7 World Championship, bringing together global esports communities for a massive festival of competition.
Through the MCGG Rising Star (MRS) qualifiers, 14 direct slots will be granted to top-performing players, setting the stage for a fierce battle to crown the first-ever GO1 World Champion.
Season 4 also marks MCGG’s international multi-sport debut. The title will appear at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Bangkok, where a special demonstration match on December 12 will kick off the Games with a #BattleofWits—proving that strategic mastery can come from any player, anywhere.
Chong shared his pride in the game’s competitive global rise:
“We’re incredibly proud to see MCGG standing alongside major esports titles and traditional sports. GO1 and the SEA Games bring us closer to discovering hidden champions and elevating players who deserve the spotlight.”
