Marvel Rivals, the hit team-based PvP shooter from Marvel Games and NetEase Games, is gearing up for its next big update. Season 4.5: Heart of the Dragon launches on October 10, bringing with it the arrival of Daredevil as a playable hero, a new Disney+ Perk, and the highly anticipated first phase of cross-platform progression testing.
Daredevil Joins the Fight
The Man Without Fear is officially stepping into the battlefield of Marvel Rivals. In his Duelist role, Daredevil uses his radar sense to track enemies, his agility to close gaps, and his iconic Billy Clubs for rapid strikes. Players can unleash his full potential by channeling The Beast’s power, amplifying martial arts abilities for devastating combos. His Ultimate Ability lets him fully embrace The Beast, striking fear into any opponent who dares to cross his path.
Alongside his debut, fans can unlock a Disney+ exclusive Daredevil costume as part of the new Disney+ Perk program. Available from October 10, 2025, to January 8, 2026, this costume will be redeemable for a limited time only.
Cross-Progression Testing Begins
One of the most requested features by the community, cross-platform progression, is finally on the way. During Season 4.5, select players will be invited to test the feature before its full rollout in Season 5.0.
Progression systems such as stats, ranks, and leaderboards will still remain separate per platform, but career data will now be unified across PC, PlayStation®, and Xbox accounts. This step marks a significant evolution for Marvel Rivals as it works toward a more connected player ecosystem.
Team-Ups, Balance Changes, and New Events
Season 4.5 also delivers major Team-Up Ability updates:
- Removed Abilities: Ragnarok Rebirth (Hela + Thor) and Gamma Charge (Hulk + Namor/Black Panther).
- New Abilities: Bestial Hunt (Daredevil + The Punisher) and Deep Wrath (Hela + Namor).
The update will also bring a Halloween event complete with themed costumes, allowing players to celebrate the spooky season in style.
New Game Mode Revealed Soon
As if that wasn’t enough, Season 4.5 is also set to introduce a brand-new gameplay mode, with details scheduled to be revealed at the Thailand Game Show on October 17, 2025.

Since its launch, Marvel Rivals has stood out for its dynamic destructible maps, innovative Team-Up Abilities, and a growing roster of Marvel heroes and villains split into three distinct combat roles—Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist. With Season 4.5: Heart of the Dragon, the game is set to deliver even more depth, variety, and fan-requested features that keep players engaged in the multiverse battles.
