The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) has a new rising star. At just 16 years old, Danish “Error 404” Tahqif bin Abdullah has made a sensational debut, leading Team Vamos (VMS) to a commanding victory over Ocean Black. This young prodigy is already drawing comparisons to the legendary anime character Naruto Uzumaki.
A New Hero Emerges
In Week 2 of MPL Malaysia Season 15, Error 404 stepped onto the battlefield and delivered a performance that left fans in awe. His strategic gameplay and exceptional skills earned him the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Match. This was a much-needed boost for VMS, who had a rocky start in Week 1 with a loss to Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG) and a narrow win against Team Rey (REY).
Shattering Records
Error 404’s debut at 16 years old sets a new record in the league, surpassing the previous youngest player, Muhammad Syafizan Najmi “Garyy” Kamarulzaman, who debuted at 16 years and 5 months in Season 7. This milestone is not just a personal achievement for Error 404 but also a beacon of inspiration for young gamers everywhere.
The Naruto Connection
The timing of Error 404’s debut couldn’t have been more perfect. Week 2 of MPL Malaysia was NARUTO-themed, building anticipation for the upcoming collaboration between NARUTO and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) on 2 May. Fans quickly drew parallels between Error 404 and Naruto Uzumaki, the beloved protagonist of the NARUTO series. Just as Naruto mastered Sage Mode at 16 and saved his village, Error 404 has shown the potential to lead VMS to new heights.
SRG’s Unstoppable Run
While Error 404 stole the spotlight, SRG continued their dominant run in Season 15. They secured 2-0 victories against both DX Soul (DXS) and Monster Vicious (MV). Despite MV’s reputation as Giant Slayers, they couldn’t overcome SRG’s formidable form. SRG Head Coach Michael “Arcadia” Angelo Bocado hinted at more surprises, stating, “This patch is something that we really like. The meta is very broad, and there are a lot of heroes that you can play.”
Homebois on the Rise
Homebois (HB) also had a successful Week 2, defeating JP Niners (JP) and DXS. Despite a minor setback against DXS, HB remains a strong contender with three wins out of three matches this season.
Anticipation Builds for Week 3

As Week 2 concludes, SRG leads the standings with 9 points, followed by HB with 8 points and Todak (TDK) with 6 points. Fans are eagerly awaiting Week 3, scheduled from 2 to 4 May. Key matchups include SRG, the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 champions, facing off against TDK, Malaysia’s representatives for the WEC 2025.
