Necromantic Conquest Commences: “Throne of Bone” Declares April 22nd as 1.0 Release Date

Windmill Slam today announced that its dark fantasy roguelike autobattler, “Throne of Bone,” will emerge from Early Access and launch its 1.0 version on April 22, 2025. A new trailer, now available, unveils the culmination of player feedback and development, showcasing the expanded content and refined gameplay that marks this significant milestone.

“Throne of Bone” casts players as a resurrected necromancer, tasked with reclaiming their throne by commanding an ever-growing army of undead minions. The game seamlessly blends deckbuilding strategy with tactical autobattling, demanding careful planning, adaptability, and the ability to forge powerful synergies. Players will draft their forces, unlock devastating spells, and navigate challenging encounters, proving that death is merely a setback in their quest for dominion.

“Our vision for ‘Throne of Bone’ has always been to create a strategy game that’s accessible yet deeply rewarding,” stated Pete White, founder of Windmill Slam. “The 1.0 launch represents the culmination of our efforts, incorporating invaluable player feedback to deliver the most polished and engaging experience possible.”

As a necromancer, players will command over 60 unique undead minions, experimenting with synergies and adapting their strategies to overcome diverse foes. Earned skulls allow for the upgrading of forces and the performance of dark rituals within the ancestral keep. Mid-battle spells can dramatically alter the course of combat, and each run presents new challenges, demanding mastery of the necromantic arts.

Key Features:

  • Over 60 unique minions with unwavering loyalty.
  • More than 70 necromantic spells to manipulate the battlefield.
  • Over 50 rewards to bolster your forces and reclaim your kingdom.
  • Diverse castle activities to enhance replayability.
