Manticore Games has officially launched Out of Time, its ambitious multiplayer roguelite, on Steam and the Steam Deck. Available now, the fast-paced action title throws squads into frantic, time-traveling brawls where knights, mechs, and shapeshifters collide across wildly different eras—and teamwork is the only way out alive.
Nicknamed the “Multiplayer Megabonk” by its growing community, Out of Time blends high-intensity combat with roguelite progression, delivering bite-sized but explosive runs built for replayability and cooperative mastery.
A Multiplayer Roguelite Forged by Its Community
Following a successful testing period that saw tens of thousands of players shaping its design, Out of Time arrives on Steam fully battle-ready. Each run is a tightly packed 15-minute blitz, designed to eliminate downtime and keep the pressure on from the opening seconds to the final boss encounter.
Set within a volatile multiverse, players jump between four distinct eras, ranging from medieval battlefields to futuristic warzones, with each timeline introducing unique enemies, mechanics, and tactical challenges.
Solar Punk Era Expands the Multiverse
The Steam and Steam Deck launch coincides with the arrival of the brand-new Solar Punk Era, a vibrant future setting that significantly expands the game’s scope.
The Solar Punk update introduces:
- Four large new zones to explore and survive
- A host of new enemy types and mobs
- New playable classes, including the Solar Sentinel and Head of Hydroponics
- Four massive new bosses
- A series of new random in-game events that keep every run unpredictable
This new era reinforces Out of Time’s core promise: a constantly evolving universe built for long-term growth.
Built for Speed, Synergy, and Endless Builds
At its heart, Out of Time is about experimentation and cooperation. Players can customize their loadouts to create powerful synergies, blending offense, defense, and support roles into thousands of possible combinations.
One of the game’s defining mechanics is the Tether system, which allows teammates to share stats and abilities in real time. Survival hinges on immediate coordination—stay connected, adapt on the fly, or risk being overwhelmed by the chaos.
Every run ends with a dramatic boss showdown, pitting squads against complex, era-shattering foes that demand precision, communication, and flawless execution.
Designed as an Infinitely Expandable Universe
According to Manticore Games, Out of Time was built from the ground up to evolve rapidly. Powered by Core, the studio’s own UGC platform built on Unreal Engine technology, the team can introduce new content, eras, and systems at an accelerated pace.
With additional updates already planned for 2026, players can expect the Out of Time multiverse to continue expanding well beyond its current form.
Available Now on Steam and Steam Deck
Out of Time is available now on Steam and fully playable on the Steam Deck, offering a portable multiplayer experience without sacrificing performance or intensity.
