Grinding Gear Games is bringing the heat to Gamescom Cologne 2025 with the first-ever Boss Rush Challenge for Path of Exile 2. Held from August 20–24 at Hall 6.1, Booth C071-A-070, this brutal, fast-paced showdown invites Exiles from around the world to face off against 15 of the game’s deadliest bosses—and walk away with exclusive merch, bragging rights, and corrupted selfies.
🔥 Defeat or Die: The Boss Rush Awaits
At the heart of the Gamescom experience lies the Boss Rush Challenge, a 20-minute gauntlet where players must defeat as many bosses as possible from Path of Exile 2’s campaign acts. The challenge features 15 hand-picked bosses, designed to push your build, timing, and tactics to their limits.
Each day, a live leaderboard above the booth will display the top contenders—those Exiles who took down the most bosses in the shortest time. Think you’re up to the task? There’s loot to earn, but only the fastest and fiercest will make it to the top.
⚔️ Watch the Pros: 1v1 Creator Showdowns
From 1 PM to 3 PM daily, don’t miss the Creator Showdown, where invited content creators will go head-to-head in a timed boss-slaughtering spree. These 1v1 battles are more than just a test of reflexes—they’re a spectacle of survival, streamed live and scored based on clear speed and kill count.
Each day’s winner earns a coveted top spot on the digital leaderboard, and spectators get a front-row seat to some of the most intense Path of Exile 2 gameplay around.
📸 Vaalify Your Selfie: The Chaos Avatar Experience
Beyond the bloodshed, there’s fun to be had at the Vaal Orb Avatar Booth, where players can corrupt their selfies and generate a custom Vaal-themed avatar. Just pick the Vaal Orb icon, scan the QR code, and walk away with your own twisted likeness—and maybe some loot.
