Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame Ignites New Horrors, Ascendancies, and Asynchronous Trade Update

Path of Exile

When the nights stretch long and shadows whisper secrets, Path of Exile fans know something wicked this way comes. Grinding Gear Games brings fresh fear and fiery chaos with the arrival of Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame, a massive free expansion packed with sinister enemies, new power paths, and long-requested trading upgrades.

Like a revenant rising with purpose, this update fuels the Breach legacy once more, twisting it into a far more volatile, lore-rich, and ruthless form. Players who thought they had conquered darkness may want to lace those boots tighter. The fire burns bright, but the abyss howls back louder.

A New League That Breathes Fire and Fear

Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame introduces a brand-new challenge league, lighting up Wraeclast with unstable rifts, corrupted monstrosities, and 40 fresh challenges to crack open like cursed treasure chests.

Players will meet Ailith, a mysterious monk guarding the world’s thin thread of safety, and dive into unstable Breach-rifts where old horrors return reborn. Terrifying bosses like Vruun, Marshal of Xesht lurk in warped dimensions, hungry for brave (or foolish) Exiles.

This league doesn’t just poke old nightmares. It grabs them by the throat and reshapes them into something fiercer.

Bloodline Ascendancies: Become One With Power

Looking for build freedom that feels almost forbidden? The expansion debuts Bloodline Ascendancy Classes, a wild twist that lets players harvest the essence of fallen bosses.

Every victory becomes a grisly buffet of power. Stack combinations, mutate your build into near-mythic strength, and sculpt your combat identity like a dark alchemist designing the ultimate weapon: you.

The Genesis Tree and Grafts: Craft Flesh, Not Steel

Inside the eerie Monastery of Keepers stands the Genesis Tree, a fleshy forge of unnatural creation. Here, players collect resources and build Grafts, organic upgrades that fuse directly into the Exile’s body.

These shift further with Foulborn currency, evolving abilities into grotesque power. It’s crafting, but with a heartbeat and a pulse beneath your fingertips.

Tools and tendons, upgrades and organs. If Diablo had a surgeon phase, it might look like this.

New Skill Gems and Uber Bosses Await

The armory expands with new Skill and Support Gems like Kinetic Rain and Living Lightning, turning your wand into a storm-spitting machine and your spells into crackling, thinking lightning shards.

For thrill-seekers craving pain and glory, three new Uber Incarnation Bosses rise from Zana’s despair, offering brutal endgame battles and high-tier rewards for those bold enough to try (and die, probably).

Asynchronous Trade Finally Arrives

Years of prayers and forum threads answered. Asynchronous Trade is here.

Trade instantly, even while offline, from Act 6 onward through the suave and shady Faustus, who now handles item requests and a streamlined Currency Exchange system. No need to babysit trade windows or spam whispers like it’s 2014 again.

Convenience has arrived, Exile. Guard it well.

Supporters, Cosmetics, and Where to Play

The new expansion drops with two luxe Supporter Packs:

  • Champion of Theopolis
  • Verdant Magus

Each bundle comes loaded with cosmetics that look forged in ancient light or druidcraft dreams.

Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame is free to play now on:

  • PC
  • Steam
  • PlayStation
  • Xbox
  • Epic Games Store

Fire-kissed terror and loot-heavy glory await. Step into the Breach once again… if your courage holds.
