🌀 Enter the Threads of Consciousness: Zana Returns
A cosmic disturbance is tearing the very fabric of the Atlas apart. Guided by the mysterious Eagon, players must navigate fragmented memories called Threads of Consciousness to rescue the long-lost Zana—yes, that Zana—from an unraveling dimension.
In this new endgame storyline, players will:
- Traverse surreal Memory Realms to reforge connections across the Atlas.
- Battle three new Endgame Pinnacle Bosses after facing deadly Guardians.
- Unlock Memory-Influenced Maps, featuring mutated enemies and enhanced loot.
And for the loot-hungry? Pinnacle Bosses drop exclusive unique items, while a brand-new crafting mechanic—Memory Strands—enhances items in synergy with other systems.
⚔️ Mercenaries of Trarthus League: A Tactical, Brutal Challenge
The expansion introduces the Mercenaries of Trarthus, a new league steeped in honor, duels, and bloodshed.
In this league, players will:
- Encounter mercenary NPCs with randomized builds and gear.
- Choose to recruit, exile, or defeat them in a traditional Trarthan duel.
- Equip, customize, and bring mercenaries into combat for bonus loot (and challenge).
- Earn Infamous Modifiers, Trarthan Skill Gems, and more through Trarthan noble houses.
Complete 40 League Challenges to unlock the striking Watcher’s Wrath Cosmetic Armour Set, usable in both PoE 1 and PoE 2.
🛠️ Systems Overhaul: Betrayal Rework, Crafting & More
This expansion also brings massive quality-of-life upgrades and deep reworks of core systems:
- Betrayal System Overhaul: The Syndicate now retains its state post-Mastermind, with smoother progression, better rewards, and revamped Safehouses. Veiled Chaos Orbs return!
- Kingsmarch & Runegrafting: Skip base-building. Access Kingsmarch’s services immediately, including Runegrafting to empower Passive Trees with new Mastery-altering effects.
- New Scarabs & Atlas Passives: The Settlers mechanic now integrates deeply into the Atlas, giving new ways to influence your loot and challenges.
- QoL Improvements: Game pausing, improved map device inventory, and the ability to unveil items anywhere are just the start.
