If you’ve ever dreamed of running your own Italian pizzeria in a bustling, romanticized version of New York City, now’s your chance. Gaming Factory and Quest Craft have announced that Pizza Slice will be holding closed Steam playtests from August 26 to September 16, 2025 — and sign-ups are open now.
Free Taste of the Game Before Release
From August 26 to September 16, selected players will get early hands-on access to a slice of Pizza Slice, completely free. The only requirement? A PC that meets the minimum specs — after that, entry is at the discretion of the developers based on internal priorities.
Players who join the playtest will have five in-game days to experience the core gameplay loop, including:
- Gathering ingredients
- Prepping the kitchen
- Baking authentic Italian pizzas
- Serving customers and managing the restaurant
The goal is to test the game’s foundation before expanding with more features later in development.
A Cozy Pizzeria With Big Ambitions
In Pizza Slice, you step into the shoes of Tonio, the proud owner of a family-run pizzeria. Beyond perfecting your pizza, you’ll need to:
- Manage ingredients, staff, and kitchen upgrades
- Compete with rival restaurants (and fend off the “culinary mafia”)
- Expand your dining area and improve equipment
- Balance the business side with the joy of serving customers
While the full game will include multiplayer options, the playtest focuses solely on single-player mode.
