Pon’s Summer Adventure: Tanuki Game Unveils New Trailer at ID@Xbox Showcase

Pon is gearing up for an exciting adventure! CRITICAL REFLEX and indie developer Denkiworks have just released a new gameplay trailer for TANUKI: Pon’s Summer during the ID@Xbox Showcase at IGN Fan Fest. This charming game will be available later this year on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch.

In TANUKI: Pon’s Summer, players will explore a picturesque Japanese village as Pon, a part-time mailman and full-time BMX enthusiast. The game combines thrilling BMX tricks with the task of delivering packages and helping locals with various quests. The ultimate goal is to restore the Great Tanuki Shrine before the end-of-summer Matsuri festival.

The game offers a delightful mix of activities, including baseball, sumo, and taiko drumming. Players can immerse themselves in village life, creating unique stories and managing relationships with the quirky townsfolk through an intuitive, emoji-based dialogue system.

Key features of TANUKI: Pon’s Summer include:

  • Freely riding your bike while performing BMX tricks, grinds, flips, and stunts.
  • Delivering packages and completing odd jobs around the village.
  • Enjoying summer activities like bug catching, karaoke, fishing, and baseball.
  • Making friends (or annoying) the quirky townsfolk with a fun emoji-based dialogue system.
  • Unlocking different decorations to restore the Great Tanuki Shrine.
  • Exploring a world inspired by the developers’ experiences in Kyoto, Aomori, Sapporo, and Beppu.

TANUKI: Pon’s Summer is available to wishlist now on Steam. For more information, visit Denkiworks’ official website and follow them on Twitter for the latest updates.
