Indie developer Intr Studio has officially lifted the curtain on Potions, Please!, a cosy potion shop simulator infused with dark humour, meaningful choices, and narrative depth. Revealed earlier this month, the game is currently slated to launch in Q4 2026 on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation.
Set in the wonderfully weird town of Fogbottom, Potions, Please! invites players to balance comforting shopkeeping mechanics with morally questionable decisions—because running a magical business is never quite that simple.
Welcome to Fogbottom, the Strangest Town You’ll Ever Brew In
The announcement trailer offers the first proper look at Fogbottom, a medieval fantasy town brimming with eccentric locals, magical wildlife, mischievous spirits, and a deeply suspicious llama rental service that locals definitely don’t trust.
Players step into the role of a newly appointed alchemist who inherits a dilapidated potion shop from their late Aunt Marigold. There’s just one problem: Aunty isn’t ready to stay dead. Her resurrection depends on how well you master alchemy—and the choices you make while serving Fogbottom’s unusual residents.
A Cosy Game With Consequences
Unlike traditional cosy sims, Potions, Please! leans heavily into branching narratives and world-altering decisions. Every potion you brew and sell can ripple across the town, shaping relationships, faction outcomes, and the fate of the wider shire.
The story is penned by acclaimed writer Ivan Ertlov, known for his work on Medieval Dynasty, Stargazer, and Shattered VR. His signature blend of humour, mystery, and emotional storytelling shines through in a game that’s equal parts comforting and chaotic.
Potion Brewing, Llama Riding, and Backyard Graves
The debut trailer highlights a whimsical art style paired with an offbeat tone. Players can expect hands-on potion brewing, ingredient gathering, quirky customer encounters, exploration across Fogbottom, llama riding, and even tending to Aunt Marigold’s backyard grave.
Between shop upgrades and customer requests, players will slowly uncover the truth behind Aunty’s death—and whether bringing her back is really a good idea.
Online Co-op Brings Shared Cosy Chaos
Adding to the fun, Potions, Please! supports online co-op, allowing friends to manage the potion shop together. Whether you’re brewing helpful elixirs or making ethically dubious business decisions, chaos is always better shared.
