As Honkai: Star Rail dropped its version 3.0, Trailblazers are introduced to the planet Amphoreus, a place that has not been reached by even the Aeon that presides over the Path of Trailblaze, Akivili. Known as The Eternal Land, the Astral Express heads to Amphoreus as the Express’s fuel reserves are running low.
But upon arrival, troubles are already greeting our favorite crew with you and Dan Heng caught in the middle of a dangerous war between the Chrysos Heirs and the Titans, which the Chrysos Heirs must win to to save Amphoreus from doomsday as the mysterious “black tide” slowly errodes the city into eternal night.
The coming mission to Amphoreus is said to be the biggest and longest Trailblaze Mission yet, spanning eight versions.
Fans of Greek Mythology are sure to enjoy Amphoreus with its aesthetic design heavily inspire from Ancient Greek culture as well as the entire story of the mysterious planet itself. With a new world comes new puzzles and mechanics that, though many, make the game exciting and its mechanics unique to Amphoreus which was expected as the people, much like Jarilo-VI, have no knowledge of the worlds beyond the skies.
Many might see the different puzzles and mechanics as something to get used to, but unlike other games, the mechanics are of average difficulty and getting used to them are easy, even for those who like to speed through the missions.
The mission itself feels like a novel that is hard to put-down with the pace eventually slowing down towards the end but leaves more questions than answers, especially with how the mission cuts off as we await what is in store in version 3.1.
But even as players finish the mission, there is still much to explore as we wait for the next update, with many different locations in Amphoreus open and more treasures to seek.
Honaki Star Rail’s Version 3.0 is now available.
