Riftbound

The world of Runeterra is expanding beyond digital battlefields. Riot Games has unveiled new details for the next two expansions of Riftbound: The League of Legends Trading Card Game, showcasing upcoming sets Riftbound: Vendetta and Riftbound: Radiance during GAMA Expo 2026.

The announcement highlights new champions, innovative mechanics, and the debut of the game’s first two-player product. The next expansion, Riftbound: Vendetta, is scheduled to launch on July 31, 2026, with Riftbound: Radiance following later in the year on October 23, 2026.

Riftbound: Vendetta Introduces Iconic League of Legends Rivalries

The upcoming Riftbound: Vendetta expansion focuses heavily on legendary rivalries across Runeterra. The set will feature over 160 cards, including more than 50 premium Showcase cards and nine Champion Legends.

Players will see several fan-favorite champions join the trading card game, including:

  • Nasus

Vendetta also introduces new dual-domain mechanics for deckbuilding, combining opposing forces across Runeterra. These include:

  • Fury and Calm (Red + Green)
  • Mind and Body (Blue + Orange)
  • Chaos and Order (Purple + Yellow)

These mechanics expand strategic options and encourage players to experiment with new archetypes and combinations.

Showdown Decks Debut with Zed vs. Shen

One of the most exciting additions arriving with Vendetta is the first-ever two-player product for the game: Showdown Decks.

The inaugural set will feature the intense rivalry between Zed and Shen, allowing players to jump directly into battle using preconstructed decks.

Each Showdown Deck box includes:

  • Two 56-card preconstructed decks
  • Two Vendetta booster packs
  • Champion Legends, runes, and battlefields for each deck

Interestingly, every card included in the Zed vs. Shen decks will also be obtainable through regular booster packs, keeping the product accessible for both collectors and competitive players.

Premium Collectibles and New Riftbound Products

Riftbound: Vendetta will expand the game’s collectible offerings with a wide range of premium products.

These include:

  • Display Booster Boxes (24 packs, $119.99 MSRP)
  • Champion Decks ($19.99 MSRP)
  • Four champion-themed playmats
  • Rivalry-inspired art sleeves

Vendetta will also see the return of the Vault, originally introduced in Riftbound: Unleashed.

The Vendetta Vault includes:

  • Six booster packs
  • 36 basic runes
  • Three double-sided full-art promo tokens
  • A reusable storage box

Additionally, a special Showcase card series will highlight famous rival pairs such as Vi and Jinx, as well as Jayce and Viktor.

Riftbound: Radiance Set Launches October 2026

Following Vendetta’s release, the next expansion Riftbound: Radiance will arrive on October 23, 2026.

Radiance explores themes of brilliance and creativity across Runeterra and will feature a 180-card set, including over 60 Showcase cards.

New champions confirmed for the Radiance set include:

  • Evelynn
  • Ekko
  • Seraphine

Radiance will also continue the Showdown Deck line with a new Seraphine vs. Evelynn product.

Riot Expands the League of Legends Universe into Tabletop Gaming

Riftbound: The League of Legends Trading Card Game marks Riot’s continued expansion of the Runeterra universe beyond video games.

While League of Legends remains one of the most-played PC titles globally, Riot has steadily broadened its ecosystem through games like VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra, as well as media projects such as Arcane.

Developed in collaboration with UVS Games, Riftbound aims to bring the deep lore and iconic champions of Runeterra into a competitive tabletop format supported by organized play events worldwide.

With Vendetta launching this July and Radiance arriving in October, Riot’s tabletop venture looks poised to become a major new battleground for League of Legends fans.
