Robot Rebellion & Tropical Vibes as Ekoh Beach Lands April 4th

Ekoh Beach

A post-apocalyptic tropical paradise awaits, complete with eccentric residents and a lingering robot menace. Zenland Games’ “Ekoh Beach,” a life sim with a sci-fi twist, is set to launch on PC on April 4th, 2025, inviting players to rebuild a broken town on a distant, and slightly chaotic, planet.

“Something weird happened about 5 years ago…An army of Robots destroyed our town. Sure, I was the Mayor at the time but it totally wasn’t my fault,” quips Ted, a resident and former mayor, setting the tone for the game’s quirky humor. Players step into the role of Town Planner, tasked with restoring Ekoh 99, a planet recovering from a disastrous robot rebellion.

Despite assurances that Ekoh Beach is “99.9% free of insane robots,” rumors of subterranean scratchy noises and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Terra add a layer of intrigue. Players are advised to tread carefully, especially around the mines.

Exploration is key in “Ekoh Beach.” Players will traverse mines, beaches, and forests, gathering resources and harvesting “minimally radioactive” materials. They’ll also utilize unique tools like the Z-Cleaner, which scoops mineral-rich particles from the sand, with only occasional overheating.

Customization is a major feature. Players can personalize their Town Planner, adjusting character buffs to suit their playstyle. Need less empathy and more negotiation skills? No problem. Want to give unsuspecting townsfolk an irreversible haircut? The local body augmentation clinic has you covered.

“With a vibrant and unique tropical science fiction art style, Ekoh Beach blends the futuristic and the tropical with a strong sense of humour,” Zenland Games states, capturing the game’s distinctive aesthetic.

Key game highlights include:

  • Running for mayor and using political capital to rebuild Ekoh Beach.
  • Restoring life to the town by rebuilding houses and key locations like the inter-dimensional bakery.
  • Befriending over 35 unique NPCs and pets to earn hearts and rewards.
  • Uncovering hidden easter eggs through dialogue and exploration.

“Ekoh Beach” promises a blend of life simulation, quirky humor, and sci-fi adventure. Players can wishlist the game on Steam now, ahead of its April 4th launch.
