MANILA, Philippines — RSG Philippine has been eliminated in the 14th season of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines after suffering a 0-2 loss at the hands of new franchise team AURORA.
The loss sees RSG with a 3-11 record, a point shy from current 6th place holder Blacklist International who still have a match on Sunday, October 6.
When RSG was eliminated in the previous season at third place, the devastation of the team was felt across the stream as they took their final bow but yesterday, it felt like the team had already seen the outcome coming.
“A lot of things happened and I feel that we deserved to not make it to the playoffs because it’s better to have this kind of performance and then reset immediately, rather than making it to the playoffs and getting eliminated early because I know that we are not really ready this season.” admitted Coach Brian “Panda” Lim, as translated in English.
Reflecting on the team’s past eight weeks, Coach Panda has learned a valuable lesson about being a coach: there’s a limit.
“The most valuable lesson I’ve learned this season is that there is a limit to what a coach can do. But I can say proudly that I really did my best this season, I have no regrets.” added Coach Panda.
