The Pokémon Company group has announced the arrival of coveted Shiny Pokémon, debuting alongside the new “Shining Revelry” themed booster pack on March 27th, 2025. This update also heralds the launch of ranked matches, adding a competitive edge to the popular app.
“Shining Revelry” introduces a dazzling array of Shiny Pokémon cards, featuring fan favorites like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. These cards aren’t just static images; they sparkle and shimmer when tilted, offering a unique and visually engaging digital experience. Players can discover these rare cards through digital booster packs and the app’s wonder pick feature.
To further celebrate the Shiny Pokémon debut, players can acquire a stunning Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder from April 1st, perfect for showcasing their prized collection. “Shining Revelry” also expands the card pool with Pokémon and Trainers from the “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Pokémon Violet” video games, including charming illustrations for Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono.
From March 28th to April 27th, players can participate in new ex Starter Deck missions. Completing these in-game missions rewards players with a deck ticket, which can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks. The 20 cards included in the chosen starter deck will then be added to the player’s collection.
