SpeedRunners Creators Reveal Sprint City, a Solarpunk Parkour Racer Launching on Steam in Q1 2026

Sprint City

The team behind the cult-hit competitive platformer SpeedRunners is back with a bold new vision for high-speed multiplayer movement. Sprint City, a solarpunk-inspired parkour racing game built entirely around momentum, flow, and mastery, is set to launch in Steam Early Access in Q1 2026.

Developed by Second Stage Studio, Sprint City trades vehicles for velocity, dropping players into a living city where movement is king and every rooftop, wall, and shortcut is designed to be conquered at full speed.

A Solarpunk City Designed for Pure Momentum

Sprint City is built from the ground up around on-foot speed and fluid traversal. Set in a vibrant solarpunk metropolis, the game challenges players to sprint, wall-run, grapple, and swing across rooftops while maintaining momentum and carving the perfect racing line through the environment.

There are no wheels, no brakes, and no limits—just raw movement skill. Every district in the city is handcrafted to reward mastery, experimentation, and creative routing as players chase faster times and smoother runs.

Seamless Multiplayer in a Shared Living World

Unlike traditional lobby-based racers, Sprint City takes place in a single shared online world. Nearby players seamlessly appear as you explore, race, or free-roam across the city.

Key multiplayer features include:

  • Persistent grouping that keeps friends connected wherever they travel
  • Time-based challenges and competitive races
  • Global leaderboards for speedrunners and perfectionists alike

Adding to its accessibility, Sprint City allows Steam players to invite friends to join instantly via browser play, with no download required. This makes jumping into races with friends faster than ever.
