Indie darling Sushi Ben is finally making its way to PC. Developed by Big Brane Studios Inc., the interactive anime adventure launches on Steam September 18, bringing with it brand-new content, a star-studded English voice cast, and all the charm that made it a viral favorite on VR platforms.
Originally released on VR consoles in 2023, Sushi Ben quickly built a cult following thanks to its quirky story, immersive anime-inspired visuals, and endless charm. Now, PC players can experience the heartfelt narrative with over four additional hours of new minigames and the option to play on both VR and flatscreen.
A Narrative Adventure with Heart (and Sushi)
At its core, Sushi Ben is a slice-of-life narrative adventure with a twist. Players arrive in Kotobuki Town, a seaside community under threat from greedy land developers. To save the beloved local sushi bar from being swallowed up by corporate landsharks, players must befriend townsfolk, take part in wacky challenges, and strengthen community bonds.
Written by Hato Moa, creator of the cult hit Hatoful Boyfriend, the game blends heartfelt storytelling with offbeat humor and larger-than-life anime flair. Expect everything from wholesome friendship-building to hilarious over-the-top antics that feel like they’ve jumped straight out of a manga panel.
Packed with Minigames and Star Talent
The PC release ups the ante with fresh content, offering over 4 hours of new minigames including fishing, archery, dog walking, and even ghost hunting. On top of that, Sushi Ben features a fully voiced English cast of over 30 actors, including industry stars like:
- Laura Post (Little Witch Academia)
- Ryan Colt Levy (Chainsaw Man)
- AJ Beckles (Dandadan)
Combined with its pop-out manga panel storytelling, vibrant seaside setting, and colorful cast of characters, Sushi Ben delivers a one-of-a-kind experience for anime and narrative game fans alike.
