Team Liquid PH Clinches MPL PH Grand Finals and MSC 2025 Berth in Thrilling Win Over Team Falcons PH

MPL PH

Team Liquid Philippines is officially headed back to the MPL Philippines Season 15 Grand Finals and the Esports World Cup (EWC) after a high-stakes 4-2 victory over Team Falcons PH in the lower bracket finals held at Green Sun Hotel.

With the win, Team Liquid PH not only secured a second consecutive EWC appearance but also punched their ticket to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2025, joining ONIC Philippines as the country’s two representatives. The grand finals clash will be a much-anticipated rematch between Liquid and ONIC — a showdown loaded with rivalry, redemption, and regional pride.

Sanji’s Midlane Masterclass Leads the Charge

The best-of-seven series opened with a dominant performance from rising midlane star Alston “Sanji” Pabico, who orchestrated a flawless Game 1 on Luo Yi. He tallied an explosive 9/1/15 KDA in just 16 minutes, dictating rotations and punishing every misstep from the Falcons.

Teamed with veteran jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno on Fredrinn (3/0/15), and offlaner David “FlapTzy” Canon absorbing pressure on Baxia, Team Liquid came out firing. Sanji didn’t slow down in Game 2 either — securing 7 kills and 12 assists in a tense, 28-minute brawl that featured a critical 1v1 outplay against Falcons’ Super Marco, ultimately securing the Lord and the win.

Falcons Strike Back, But Liquid Stays Composed

Despite dropping the first two games, Team Falcons PH showed their claws in Game 3. Jungler Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson erupted on Hayabusa, racking up a stunning 9/1/9 KDA. It was a glimmer of hope for Falcons, but support Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz struggled on Jawhead, suffering his first loss on the hero this season with an 0/8/6 KDA.

Team Liquid quickly reestablished control in Game 4, where Kiel “Oheb” Soriano reminded everyone of his elite carry status. Playing Granger, Oheb put on a clinic with a clean 7/0/3 scoreline in just 12 minutes — a wire-to-wire victory that placed Liquid at match point.

Though Super Marco answered back in Game 5 with a monstrous 14-kill Granger performance that kept Falcons alive, it was only a brief delay.

Harith Seals the Deal: Liquid Returns to International Stage

In Game 6, Oheb took matters into his own hands with a signature Harith pick. The veteran, making his first international return in four years, ended with a 9/1/2 KDA and led the final team fight that left Falcons staggered and scattered as they tried to defend their base only for a barrage of minions to seal the deal.

The collapse was swift, and the celebration immediate. Team Liquid PH closed out the 4-2 series and booked their spot in the Season 15 Grand Finals, marking their fourth grand finals appearance since their rebrand from ECHO — and their second straight EWC run.

What’s Next: MPL PH Grand Finals

With the EWC 2025 and MSC 2025 on the horizon, Team Liquid’s next test is a rematch with ONIC PH — the team that previously knocked them to the lower bracket. With both squads at the top of their game, fans can expect fireworks when they clash for the MPL PH Season 15 crown, today at 5pm local time.
