Team Liquid Secures Back-to-Back MPL PH Immortal Cup

MANILA – Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH) has officially cemented its dynasty in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL PH) Philippines, capturing back-to-back championship titles after sweeping Aurora Gaming (RORA) 4–0 in the Season 16 Grand Finals. The electrifying finale took place on October 26, 2025, at the iconic Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, marking one of the biggest live audiences in league history.

Game One: TLPH 21 – 6 Aurora

MVP: Oheb – Harith

A dominant victory for the Cavalry as they continuously punished Aurora in team fights. Though Aurora was able to defend and prolong the match to more than 20 minutes, TLPH’s damage output was enough to take the opening game.

Game Two: TLPH 20 – 8 Aurora

MVP: Jaypee – Hilda

The same story was seen in Game Two, with a dominant early game with Aurora trying to survive until the late game only for the Cavalry to close out the series by the third lord.

Game Three: TLPH 13 – 2 Aurora

MVP: Jaypee – Gatotkaca

Game Three saw less of a massacre but the stampede was still in full speed, with Team Liquid Philippines continuing to pick off Aurora during team fights and eventually propelling themselves to match point in under 15 minutes.

Game Four: TLPH 8 – 6 Aurora

The closest game in the entire series but it was no use. With a decisive play by the lord, Sanji led his team to the game winning Diversion play to destroy Aurora’s base and get their back-to-back MPL Immortal Cup.

Finals MVP Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz delivered stellar plays that secured game-winning moments in Games 2 and 3, earning him the spotlight as one of the league’s top-performing veterans.

With this commanding victory, TLPH continues its “Golden Road” journey to the M7 World Championship, set to be held in Indonesia this January 2026. Alongside Aurora Gaming, they will represent the Philippines as the nation seeks to extend its unprecedented five-year world championship streak in the MLBB esports scene.

MPL PH Season 16: A Festival of Esports and Culture

More than a competition, the five-day MPL PH Season 16 Playoffs became a celebration of the thriving Philippine esports community. Fans filled the MPL Festival Superfan City, enjoying interactive booths, exclusive merchandise, and live watch parties that brought the tournament’s energy beyond the main arena.

The season also saw the fusion of music and gaming culture, with electrifying performances from Sony Music Philippines artists Barq, UNXPCTD, Nobita, and Ace Banzuelo. Each day began with the vibrant Community Parade, where fans marched with their team banners, uniting the community in color, sound, and esports pride.

Esports Unites: The Road to SEA Games and M7 World Championship

The Grand Finals also served as the official launch of the Philippines’ campaign for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), set for December 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. The ceremony featured representatives from the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) and the Philippine Esports Organization (PESO), emphasizing their continued support for the country’s competitive gaming athletes.

“MPL Philippines continues to be a cornerstone of our esports ecosystem,” said Marlon Marcelo, Executive Director of PESO. “It’s a platform where Filipino talent shines—many of whom proudly represent our nation under SIBOL at international tournaments.”

TLPH’s lineup, joined by John Carlo “Caloy” Roma, will form the SIBOL MLBB Men’s Team, while NAVI PH’s core roster and Clarisse “CLA” Cordova will represent the Women’s Team. Both squads will compete in the SEA Games before turning their focus toward the M7 World Championship in early 2026.
