Teamfight Tactics: Space Gods Set Revealed – Release Date, New Champions, Traits, and Cosmic Mechanics

Teamfight Tactics

The next era of auto battler strategy is almost here. Teamfight Tactics has officially revealed Space Gods, the game’s highly anticipated 17th set — and it’s bringing a massive wave of new champions, mechanics, and cosmic-themed gameplay when it launches next month.

Set to release on April 15, 2026, Teamfight Tactics: Space Gods will introduce players to an intergalactic battleground where powerful celestial beings grant immense power to those who prove worthy. With brand-new traits, returning fan-favorite champions, and a completely reworked set mechanic, this update is shaping up to be one of the biggest TFT releases in recent years.

Teamfight Tactics: Space Gods Release Date Confirmed

Riot Games confirmed that the new set will arrive in two phases:

  • PBE Release: March 31, 2026
  • Official Global Launch: April 15, 2026 (PC and mobile)

The Space Gods set will mark the first Teamfight Tactics set of 2026, continuing Riot’s yearly tradition of introducing three major sets to keep gameplay fresh and competitive.

A Cosmic Battlefield Powered by the Gods

In Teamfight Tactics: Space Gods, players will compete for the favor of celestial rulers inside a brand-new themed version of the Convergence. The set blends sci-fi and fantasy elements, creating a visually unique experience while also introducing mechanics that completely change how matches play out.

One of the biggest highlights is the new Realm of the Gods mechanic. This replaces the traditional carousel system and introduces a celestial marketplace where players can choose blessings and rewards directly from powerful gods. Depending on the choices you make throughout a match, a specific god can eventually grant a powerful late-game boon that can change the outcome of the battle.

Returning Fan-Favorite Champions in Teamfight Tactics: Space Gods

Several popular champions are returning to the Convergence in the Space Gods set, alongside new high-cost units and exciting gameplay roles.

Returning Champions

Fan favorites such as Master Yi, Pyke, and Maokai are making a long-awaited comeback to the set.

New 5-Cost Champions

Players can also expect powerful late-game units including:

  • Fiora
  • Shen
  • Vex
  • Graves
  • Blitzcrank
  • Morgana
  • Sona
  • Jhin
  • Zed
  • Bard

In addition, LeBlanc will receive a TFT-exclusive skin, giving long-time players something new to collect and experiment with.

New Traits and Origins Introduced in the Space Gods Set

Like every major update to Teamfight Tactics, the Space Gods set introduces several innovative traits that will completely change how players build their team compositions.

Key Traits to Watch

Meeple
Champions gain powerful companion Meeps that grow stronger as you field more units with the trait. A new TFT-exclusive champion, Meepsie, is also part of this lineup.

Anima
A high-risk, high-reward trait that gives players powerful technology upgrades based on losses and takedowns. The more you commit to the trait, the stronger the rewards become.

Dark Star
Dark Star units create black holes that consume low-health enemies. The trait becomes even stronger as your best unit evolves into a supermassive version.

Stargazer
This trait changes every game. Players receive a different constellation that alters the battlefield and empowers allies in new ways each match.

Mecha and Fateweaver
These traits focus on transformation and ability upgrades, allowing players to evolve their units into stronger versions as the match progresses.
