Independent developer Goose Byte and publisher Spiral Up Games have officially announced that the first playable demo of their sci-fi survival adventure THE SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis will launch during Steam Next Fest, October 13–20, 2025. The news was revealed alongside the game’s first in-depth narrative trailer during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025, offering fans a closer look at its story, environments, and survival gameplay.
A Mysterious Planet With a Voice of Its Own
THE SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis introduces players to Jane, a determined survivor searching for her missing brother after crash-landing on a strange and hostile planet. But she’s not entirely alone—the world itself speaks.
Sirenis, voiced by Patricia Summersett (best known as Princess Zelda in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom), becomes a constant companion and enigmatic guide. As Jane traverses varied biomes filled with strange fauna, hidden dangers, and ancient mysteries, players must rely on scavenging, crafting, and survival skills to endure—and uncover the truth behind the mysterious signal that drew them there.
Built on Four Years of Development
Goose Byte’s Creative Director, Theodor Diea, expressed the team’s excitement about sharing the demo:
“We are thrilled to finally be releasing a public demo for THE SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis during October’s Steam Next Fest. The journey to get here hasn’t been an easy one. We’ve spent years playtesting and trying out wildly different designs to land on something that has the potential to become a truly timeless game. This is our love letter to games like Subnautica, Half-Life, Portal, and BioShock.”
