The curtains have closed on Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS 2025), with the event drawing an impressive 263,101 attendees over its four-day run at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA), this year’s show lived up to its theme, “Unlimited, Neverending Playground”, by delivering a record-breaking showcase of games, technology, and industry insights.

TGS 2025 welcomed 1,136 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions, surpassing last year’s numbers. Attendees had the chance to experience a wide range of titles across platforms including consoles, PC, mobile, and VR. Beyond gaming software, the exhibition featured products, services, and merchandise that reflected the ever-expanding scope of the industry.

The event’s stage programs included the Keynote Speech, the Japan Game Awards 2025 Future Division, and the Top Game Creators Academy, a lecture series created in collaboration with the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Japan Arts Council. On the business side, the TGS Business Matching System recorded 3,591 appointments, underlining the show’s role as a vital hub for international industry networking.

For fans unable to attend in person, TGS 2025 streamed 21 official programs across platforms like YouTube, Twitch, X, and Niconico. Overseas audiences tuned in through partnerships with DouYu and bilibili in China, and IGN in North America and Europe. The total global viewership numbers will be announced at a later date.
Tokyo Game Show 2026: Bigger Than Ever
CESA also announced that Tokyo Game Show 2026 will run from September 17 to September 21, 2026, making it the first five-day event in the show’s history. The event will once again be held at Makuhari Messe, promising an even bigger stage for the gaming industry’s most anticipated announcements.
