Filipino VALORANT agents, get ready for a game-changing update. Riot Games has officially announced the launch of its first-ever Manila game server, set to go live on August 20, 2025, at 5:00 AM (PHT) alongside Patch 11.04. This marks the sixth VALORANT server in the Asia Pacific region and promises a major boost in performance for players in the Philippines.
The Manila server is designed to deliver lower ping, reduced lag, and more stable connectivity, tackling the infrastructure challenges that have long plagued Filipino players connecting to distant servers—especially Hong Kong, which has been the primary hub since the game’s 2020 release.
A New Option, Not a Replacement
Riot Games clarified that the Manila server will complement, not replace, existing servers. Filipino players can choose between the new Manila server and the Hong Kong server without affecting their access to competitive modes like Premier or regional qualifiers for Challengers Southeast Asia. This means top Pinoy teams can still aim for international glory regardless of their chosen server.
For eligible players, the Manila server will appear under the Southeast Asia region with the label ‘MNL’, similar to how Singapore and Hong Kong servers are displayed.
Celebrating Filipino VALORANT Culture
The launch comes fresh off VALORANT’s fifth-anniversary celebrations, which heavily spotlighted the Philippines. Riot Games honored the local community through a heartfelt tribute video, the Humans of VALORANT mini-documentary series, and even a massive mural in Taguig City showcasing iconic Filipino VALORANT moments.
“The launch of VALORANT’s first-ever gameserver in the Philippines reinforces Riot Games’ commitment to improving the local player experience while celebrating the Filipino players and communities that have fueled the game’s growth,” said Jason Roberto, Brand Manager for VALORANT Philippines.
Nationwide Community Tournaments Incoming
To mark the Manila server’s debut, Riot Games Philippines is planning a series of community tournaments for players across the country. Updates on these events, Patch 11.04, and other VALORANT PH news will be shared via the game’s official Facebook and Instagram channels.
With smoother matches and more localized play on the horizon, August 20 could be a landmark moment for the Filipino VALORANT scene. Whether you’re grinding ranked or prepping for your next tournament, the Manila server might just be your new go-to battleground.
