Winter Burrow, a cozy woodland survival game from indie studio Pine Creek Games and publisher Noodlecake, has officially set its release date for November 12, 2025. The game will launch on Steam, Xbox, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch, inviting players to step into the tiny shoes of a city mouse returning home to restore their childhood burrow.
Already described as “a genuinely curious and cozy experience … with immaculate vibes” by Game Rant, Winter Burrow offers a refreshing take on survival games, blending resource gathering and crafting with storytelling, warmth, and community.
Demo Available Now
To celebrate the announcement, a new Steam demo dropped during the Indie Fan Fest by The MIX. This demo will also be available during Steam Next Fest from October 13–20, giving players the chance to try out the charming world of Winter Burrow before release.
The updated demo includes:

- A fresh new look for the mouse protagonist
- Expanded cooking options and recipes
- New resources, crafting items, and furniture

Life in Winter Burrow
At its heart, Winter Burrow is about making a home. Players take on the role of a small mouse who returns from the big city only to find their childhood burrow in ruins—and their Aunt missing. To survive the harsh frozen wilderness, players will need to explore, gather resources, bake pies, knit sweaters, and craft tools, all while uncovering the mystery behind their missing family member.
The world isn’t without its dangers—cold weather, insect wildlife, and loneliness are constant threats—but the game encourages a gentle, player-paced approach to survival. With character customization, burrow decoration, and branching survival choices, every player’s Winter Burrow story will feel unique.
