SEGA has revealed fresh details about the story, characters, and minigames coming to Yakuza Kiwami 2, which officially launches for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 on November 13, 2025. A Clash of Dragons: Story Overview
Set one year after the events of the original Yakuza, the story follows Kazuma Kiryu, who has left his yakuza life behind to live peacefully with Haruka Sawamura. That fragile peace is shattered when Yukio Terada, fifth chairman of the Tojo Clan, is assassinated.
To prevent all-out war, Kiryu heads to Osaka’s Sotenbori district, where he encounters two key figures: Ryuji Goda, the ruthless “Dragon of Kansai,” and Kaoru Sayama, a determined Osaka PD detective. As secrets buried for more than 20 years come to light, East and West Japan prepare for a violent showdown, forcing Kiryu to once again step back into the underworld.
