Set to Release on January 22, 2025, the Update Introduces New Challenges and Characters
Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse has announced the release of Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.5, titled “Astra-nomical Moment,” set to launch on January 22, 2025. This update will introduce a spectacular concert featuring New Eridu’s superstar, Astra Yao, as well as new gameplay elements and activities to immerse players in the urban fantasy ARPG.
Concert and New Character Spotlight
During the New Year’s celebration, Astra Yao will perform at Starloop, an iconic landmark in New Eridu. As the stage rises, encircled by structures resembling a star’s orbit, Astra will deliver a dazzling performance. However, threats lurk beneath the stage, but with the support and protection of Evelyn and the Proxy, Astra is expected to overcome these adversities.
Off the stage, Astra Yao serves as an S-Rank Ether Support Agent. She can enter the Idyllic Cadenza state, providing a damage bonus to the entire squad and remaining on the battlefield even when switching Agents. As the game’s first healing character, her Ultimate not only damages enemies but also restores HP to the entire squad. Evelyn, her trusted guardian, is an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent who can unleash a powerful Chain Attack and enter the Dance of Awakened Fire after using her Ultimate for the first time.
The update will also introduce an S-Rank Bangboo named Snap, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent named Ellen, and an S-Rank Electric Stun Agent named Qingyi, all returning for Version 1.5 banners.
New Gameplay and Features
Version 1.5 will bring a plethora of new gameplay elements. Players can explore “Endless Tower: The Last Stand,” where they ascend in phases of 10 floors with specific combat effects, and “Perpetrator Battle,” which requires the use of designated Agents, exclusive Gear, and Resonia to defeat formidable foes. The update will also rotate Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault in offering varied combat experiences.
To celebrate the Urban Video Game Festival, Godfinger will host “Mach 25,” a new parkour arcade game where players can race with various vehicles. Additionally, Bizarre Brigade will add a 2-player PvE mode and introduce seven new Dream Seekers, including Wise, Belle, and members of Cunning Hares.
Beyond battles, Proxies can dress up Agents such as Astra, Ellen, and Nicole in new outfits. Participating in the Bangboo pageant “Ridu’s Got Boo” will help Eous secure the championship and unlock various rewards, including Nicole’s new outfit. The Elpis Ultimate Angler Championship will also allow players to hone their fishing skills and earn prestigious rewards, such as an exclusive dynamic wallpaper.
Optimizations and Platform Availability
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 will be available on PlayStation®5 Pro, PlayStation®5, PC, iOS, and Android. The update will include optimizations to Notorious Hunt, Drive Disc, and W-Engine interfaces, as well as the display of dynamic wallpaper and badges.
