HoYoverse has just announced the highly anticipated Version 1.6 update for their urban fantasy ARPG, Zenless Zone Zero. Titled “Among the Forgotten Ruins,” this update will be available on March 12, 2025, and promises to bring new layers of intrigue and excitement to the game.
In this latest chapter, players, known as Proxies, are tasked with securing a mysterious artifact linked to the secrets of Sacrifice. The high-stakes auction, commissioned by the Mayor of New Eridu, pits Proxies against various factions, including the elusive phantom thief syndicate Mockingbird. As the story unfolds, players will delve deeper into the hidden history of New Eridu’s military factions, uncovering the true identity of Anby and the backstory of Trigger, a key member of Soldier 11’s team.
Anby Demara, formerly known as Soldier 0, is revealed to be the former leader of the Silver Squad. As an S-Rank Electric Attack Agent, she wields dual swords to deliver rapid Electric damage, triggering Aftershock and boosting the CRIT DMG of allies. Alongside Anby, the new S-Rank character Trigger, an Electric Stun Agent and ace sniper of the Obol Squad, makes her debut. Trigger’s Sniper Mode allows her to evade attacks and strike at the perfect moment, enhancing Aftershock damage and increasing ally damage on the same target.
Version 1.6 also introduces new foes, including the boss Geppetto in Hollow Zero, and unlocks Difficulty VI in Battlefront Purge. Players can experience the new Shadow Operation gameplay, featuring unique effects in each battle stage. Additionally, Trigger’s TV Schedule brings a new third-person shooter gameplay, allowing players to take on sniper missions.
The update also sees the return of familiar characters like Pulchra Fellini, Burnice, and Zhuyuan, along with new events such as March On, Tiny Titan! and Little Knight’s Big Charge, offering exclusive rewards including the playable agent Pulchra.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.6 will be available on PlayStation®5 Pro, PlayStation®5, PC, iOS, and Android. Rated Teen by the ESRB and PEGI 12, this update promises to enrich the gaming experience with optimized character progression mechanics and thrilling new content.
