Kuro Games has ignited excitement with a livestream unveiling the “Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower” preview for Wuthering Waves version 2.2, alongside the announcement of the game’s upcoming Steam launch and MacOS debut. The update, set to drop on March 27th, 2025, promises a wealth of new content, including a main quest, companion story, regions, echoes, challenges, and optimizations.
The “Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower” livestream showcased a first look at the new main quest, “The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier,” and the companion story, “A Fleeting Night’s Dream.” Players will explore new regions, Avinoleum and Beohr Waters, and encounter new Echoes like Reminiscence: Fleurdelys and Nightmare: Lampylumen Myriad.
Version 2.2 also introduces a new Phantom Echo, Phantom: Capitaneus, and a new Sonata Effect, Gusts of Welkin, which enhances Aero DMG. Players can tackle the new Tactical Hologram Challenge, Tactical Hologram: Dragon of Dirge, and enjoy various optimizations, including incremental content updates for the PC launcher and customizable color settings.
The update features a slew of new Resonators, including the five-star Cantarella, and upcoming featured Resonator Convenes, such as Neptune’s Lullaby and reruns of Camellya and Shorekeeper banners. New weapons, Whispers of Sirens and Bloodpact’s Pledge (a free five-star weapon), are also on the horizon.
A plethora of special events will keep players engaged, including area exploration, photo collection, login rewards, crisis trial challenges, co-op combat, commission events, platforming challenges, and exploration events.
The highly anticipated MacOS version of Wuthering Waves will launch alongside version 2.2 on March 27th, 2025, via the Mac App Store. Additionally, players can now wishlist Wuthering Waves on Steam, as the game prepares for its upcoming release on the platform.
