ONIC Philippines and Team Liquid will be fighting for MPL Philippines’ first slot to the MLBB Midseason Cup (MSC) after winning their respective matches Thursday night at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
Onic PH (Seed 3) unleashed a 3-2 reckoning against Aurora (Seed 2) to send them down to the lower bracket.
After Aurora forced a do-or-die, Onic PH fought back with a dominant Game 5, pushing themselves a step closer to getting one of two MSC slots.
To end the night, Team Liquid PH (Seed 1) outlasted Team Falcons PH (Seed 4) to move onto the next round, 3-2.
Down 0-2, Team Liquid PH stormed their way into Game 5, ultimately finishing the series by controlling the tempo throughout the rubber match.
Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s Game 5 performance contributed massively to the Cavalry’s ride to the next round, collecting nine kills, two deaths and four assists on Granger.
Team Liquid PH had better control of the map and objectives during the rubber match , taking all of Team Falcons PH’s turrets and dominating the jungle by taking two lords to FLCN’s 0.
Team Liquid PH and Onic PH will fight for the first MPL PH finals and MSC slot at 3 PM, while Aurora and Team Falcons PH will fight for survival in the next match.
