Team Spirit Dominates MCC Season 7 As Verso Time Secures Historic First International Esports Berth

Team Spirit

The Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region has officially crowned its kings once again, but a new challenger is rising to join them on the global stage. Team Spirit has captured the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Continental Championships (MCC) Season 7 title, marking a historic seventh consecutive league championship for the legendary roster.

While Team Spirit’s victory cements their status as an untouchable dynasty, the real shake-up comes from the runners-up. Verso Time put on a breakthrough performance to secure second place, earning their first-ever international qualification.

Both squads will now represent the EECA region at the highly anticipated Mid Season Cup (MSC) during the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC).

A New Era For The EECA MLBB Ecosystem

This season highlighted the rapid evolution of the EECA competitive landscape. While Team Spirit (formerly under the Deus Vult banner) remains the gold standard of excellence, the gap is closing.

To maintain their dominance, Team Spirit adjusted their lineup ahead of Season 7, adding star Jungler Zaur “zaur egoist” Magomadov. The gamble paid off, but the road wasn’t easy. The league saw a massive influx of new investment and talent infrastructure, including:

  • Team Yandex: The esports division of one of the region’s largest tech giants.
  • Aura Farmers: An academy squad that fought their way into the Regular Season through Team Spirit Academy Black.

“MCC Season 7 reflects the progress EECA has made as a competitive ecosystem,” said Ajay Jilka, Head of Esports for EECA, Türkiye, and Western Europe at MOONTON Games. “Team Spirit’s continued success highlights the quality that exists at the top, while Verso Time’s breakthrough qualification demonstrates that new contenders are emerging and challenging established expectations.”

The Road To The 2026 Esports World Cup

The stakes have never been higher for international MLBB. Returning under the “Two Champions, One Game” banner, MLBB has solidified its place as a mainstay title at the Esports World Cup.

The tournament is coming off a record-shattering year. In the previous iteration of the event, the MSC became the first tournament in EWC history to surpass 3 million Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV), making it a premier destination for global esports talent.

Global Contenders Joining The Grid

The EECA region won’t be the only ones sending hungry competitors to the main stage. Other regional qualifiers have concluded with thrilling conclusions:

Region / TournamentChampion (Main Stage)Runner-Up (Wild Card)

In Türkiye, Aurora Gaming completed a historic “three-peat” by taking down FUT Esports 4-2. Meanwhile, Singapore saw a thrilling seven-game nail-biter where Ignite Gaming mounted a spectacular comeback to dethrone Team EVIL 4-3.

With dynasties defending their honors and hungry newcomers like Verso Time looking to make a global name for themselves, the MSC at EWC 2026 is shaping up to be the most competitive tournament in MLBB history.
