KRAFTON Opens Global Playtest for Project ZETA Ahead of Early Access Launch in 2026

KRAFTON has officially announced the first global community test for Project ZETA, the upcoming multiplayer tactical arena game from NIRVANANA Studio. The highly anticipated playtest will run from June 25 to June 28, 2026 (PT) on Steam, giving players around the world their first opportunity to experience the game ahead of its planned Early Access launch later this year.

The test marks a major milestone for the project, expanding participation beyond South Korea and inviting players from North America, Europe, and other regions to join the action. Interested players can now request access through the Steam store page and jump into the battlefield once the playtest begins.

KRAFTON Expands Community-Driven Development Worldwide

The upcoming test represents the largest public evaluation period for Project ZETA to date. While previous community tests were conducted in Korea, this will be the first time a broader global audience gets hands-on access to the game.

KRAFTON and NIRVANANA Studio plan to use player feedback, gameplay data, and balance insights gathered during the event to help shape the title’s future development. The information collected will play a key role as the team prepares for a global Early Access launch scheduled for the second half of 2026.

What Is Project ZETA?

Project ZETA is a competitive multiplayer tactical arena game that introduces a unique multi-team format designed to shake up traditional hero-based PvP experiences.

Instead of two opposing teams fighting for victory, Project ZETA places four teams of three players onto a single battlefield simultaneously. This creates constantly evolving engagements where alliances shift, threats emerge from unexpected directions, and every decision can dramatically impact the outcome of a match.

At the center of every battle is a critical objective known as the Prism.

Teams must secure the Prism and successfully transport it to a designated extraction point to claim victory. The objective-focused design encourages aggressive plays, strategic positioning, and opportunistic decision-making throughout each match.

Multi-Team Battles Create Unpredictable Competition

One of Project ZETA’s most distinctive features is its multi-team battlefield structure.

By introducing four competing squads into a single match, the game creates a dynamic environment where players must balance offense, defense, and awareness of multiple threats simultaneously. Battles can rapidly shift as teams contest objectives, intercept rivals, or capitalize on opportunities created by ongoing fights elsewhere on the map.

This design aims to deliver a more unpredictable and strategic experience compared to traditional team-versus-team hero shooters and arena games.

Hero Abilities Meet PvE Progression and PvP Combat

Combat in Project ZETA is presented from a third-person action perspective and combines several gameplay elements into a single competitive experience.

Players can choose from a roster of 14 heroes, each belonging to one of four distinct classes. Hero abilities are designed to complement both direct player-versus-player engagements and progression systems tied to PvE encounters throughout a match.

The hybrid gameplay structure encourages players to balance combat, resource gathering, and objective control as they work toward securing victory.
