Garena is taking Call of Duty: Mobile esports to the next level with its first-ever Battle Royale Major, giving teams across Southeast Asia a new shot at regional glory.
The Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Battle Royale Cup 2026 (COD:M GBRC 2026) has officially been announced, with a $40,000 USD prize pool up for grabs and an offline Grand Finals scheduled to take place in Manila, Philippines, on November 7 and 8, 2026.
The inaugural Battle Royale-focused tournament will bring together 10 of the region’s top teams for a two-day championship showdown. Before reaching Manila, however, aspiring competitors from the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia will need to survive several stages of competition.
Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Battle Royale Cup 2026 Opens Registration
The journey toward the COD:M GBRC 2026 Grand Finals begins with an open registration period for players based in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Registration is open from September 8 to September 21, 2026, giving teams the opportunity to assemble their squads and enter the first major Battle Royale competition organized under the Call of Duty: Mobile – Garena banner.
Teams can register with four to five players, with registration closing at 11:59 PM (GMT+8) on September 21.
From there, participating teams will progress through qualifiers, group stages, and playoffs, with only the strongest squads earning their place in the Manila Grand Finals.
Road to the Manila Grand Finals
The COD:M GBRC 2026 competition is designed to gradually narrow the field before the final 10 teams battle for the championship.
The Qualifiers will run from September 26 to October 4, using a single-elimination format with one round played per map. The surviving teams will then move into the Group Stage.
Taking place on October 10 and 11, the Group Stage will feature 40 teams divided into four groups of 10. The top five teams from each group will advance, creating a 20-team field for the Playoffs.
The Playoffs are scheduled for October 17 and 18. The remaining teams will compete across eight maps, with the seven highest-ranked teams securing their tickets to the Grand Finals.
These seven teams will join three invited or qualified regional representatives to complete the 10-team Grand Finals lineup.
Ten Teams Will Battle for the Battle Royale Championship
The offline Grand Finals in Manila will feature a diverse lineup representing several markets across the Garena region.
Seven teams will come from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, while Indonesia, Thailand, and the combined Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau region will each receive one representative.
That means the November championship will feature teams from across the broader Garena competitive ecosystem, giving the inaugural Battle Royale Major an international regional flavor.
For Philippine fans, the event also marks another major opportunity to watch high-level Call of Duty: Mobile esports in Manila.
New EndGame Protocol Will Decide the Champion
One of the biggest talking points surrounding the COD:M GBRC 2026 Grand Finals is the introduction of the EndGame Protocol.
The two-day finals will feature teams competing across as many as 12 maps. However, simply accumulating the most points will not be enough to win the tournament.
Teams must first reach a designated points threshold to become eligible for the championship. Once a team becomes championship-eligible, it must then secure a map victory to claim the title.
The tournament will immediately conclude once an eligible team wins a map.
This format could make every late-game decision crucial, as teams will need to balance consistent scoring with the ability to close out a map when the championship is within reach.
Manila Hosts Another Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Esports Event
The COD:M GBRC 2026 Grand Finals will also be the second offline regional Call of Duty: Mobile – Garena tournament hosted in the Philippines this year.
It follows the Garena Summer Invitational 2026, which took place in May and brought another major regional Call of Duty: Mobile competition to the country.
With the new Battle Royale Major arriving in November, Philippine fans will have another opportunity to experience Call of Duty: Mobile esports in an offline setting.
A New Competitive Path for Call of Duty: Mobile Battle Royale Players
The launch of the Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Battle Royale Cup 2026 represents a significant expansion of the game’s competitive ecosystem.
While Call of Duty: Mobile has traditionally been associated with its team-based multiplayer modes, its Battle Royale experience has developed its own dedicated player base. The new tournament gives Battle Royale specialists a formal pathway from open registration to a major regional championship.
For players in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia, the competition begins with a relatively accessible entry point: forming a team and registering before the September 21 deadline.
From there, every elimination round brings competitors closer to a place on the Manila stage and a share of the $40,000 prize pool.
