EVE Online: Revenant Expansion Gets a Major Update

CCP Games has rolled out a significant update to the EVE Online: Revenant expansion, bringing a host of enhancements to industry, warfare, and exploration in New Eden. This update underscores CCP Games’ dedication to evolving EVE Online in collaboration with its community, ensuring the universe remains dynamic and immersive.

The Revenant expansion, which focuses on warfare, industry, and player-driven conflict, now offers capsuleers new opportunities to engage in large-scale battles, expand industrial operations, and navigate shifting territorial dynamics.

Strengthening Industry and Resource Control:

  • Shipbuilding and Warfare: Manufacturing capital ships and Tech I battleships is now cheaper and more accessible, allowing for more fleet deployments and reducing the risk in battles.
  • Mining Operations: Nullsec mining sites now provide more ore from fewer but larger asteroids, and a new type of mining site for capital-scale operations offers enormous asteroids rich in resources. The ORE deep core strip mining laser enhances resource extraction for barge and exhumer ship types.
  • Planetary Colonies: New UI improvements, multi-select functionality for schematics, and streamlined extractor resets make managing planetary colonies smoother.

More Engaging and Tactical Warfare:

  • Factional Warfare: Battlefield sites now reward active participation, and anti-pirates can claim new rewards, increasing the stakes of Pirate Insurgencies.
  • Tactical Retreats: Retreats through the Pochven region are more challenging, requiring time to activate and leaving detectable traces for hunters, adding risk and strategy to travel.

Shifting the Balance of Power in Logistics and Fleet Combat:

  • Jump Gates: Changes to player-built jump gates make players more vulnerable to ambushes and require manual repairs, adding tactical depth to long-distance travel.
  • Ship Balance Adjustments: Extensive discussions at the latest CSM summit have led to adjustments affecting travel, electronic warfare, and fleet management.

For a comprehensive overview of the changes, capsuleers are encouraged to review the official patch notes. Stay updated with the latest happenings in and outside New Eden by visiting EVE News.
