Lenovo

Lenovo is leveling up its commitment to competitive gaming after officially becoming a Global Founding Partner of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, reinforcing its position as one of the biggest names in esports technology.

The expanded partnership with the Esports Foundation (EF) will see Lenovo Legion gaming desktops, monitors, and innovative hardware powering every corner of the world’s largest esports festival—from tournament stages and training facilities to broadcast studios and fan experiences throughout Paris.

Lenovo Legion Powers the World’s Biggest Esports Tournament

As the Esports World Cup makes its debut in Paris, France, Lenovo is taking on a larger role than ever before.

Running from July 6 to August 23, 2026, the seven-week esports spectacle welcomes more than 2,000 professional players, 200 esports clubs, and competitors representing over 100 countries across 24 game titles and 25 tournaments. With more than $75 million in total prize money, EWC 2026 stands as one of the richest and most ambitious esports events ever held.

Lenovo’s latest Legion gaming ecosystem will serve as the backbone of the competition, ensuring players have access to tournament-grade performance from practice sessions through championship matches.

Legion Hardware Takes Center Stage

Professional competitors at EWC 2026 will battle using Lenovo Legion Tower 7i and Legion Tower 5i desktop PCs, alongside Legion gaming monitors designed for high-performance competitive play.

Beyond the main stage, Lenovo hardware will also power broadcast operations, player training facilities, and fan zones, creating a consistent gaming experience across every aspect of the event.

The expanded deployment underscores Lenovo’s growing influence within the global esports ecosystem as tournament organizers continue to prioritize premium gaming hardware for elite competition.

Fans Can Experience Lenovo’s Innovative Rollable Gaming Laptop

The partnership isn’t just about professional competition.

Visitors attending the Esports World Cup will also get the chance to experience one of Lenovo’s most talked-about gaming concepts—the Legion Pro Rollable Concept.

First showcased during CES 2026, the futuristic gaming laptop features a rollable PureSight OLED display capable of expanding from a traditional 16-inch screen into larger 21.5-inch and 24-inch display sizes. Designed with traveling esports athletes in mind, the concept aims to provide desktop-like immersion in a portable form factor.

Attendees can try the innovative device firsthand at the dedicated Lenovo Legion booth during the event.

Lenovo Brings Fans Closer to the Action

Lenovo’s presence extends well beyond the competition stage.

The company’s branding will be featured throughout EWC 2026 broadcasts and festival grounds, including the Legion Gauntlet stage and interactive fan zones showcasing Legion laptops, tablets, gaming peripherals, and exclusive experiences.

Visitors will also have opportunities to participate in on-site activities for a chance to win Lenovo Legion gaming hardware, while behind-the-scenes content across Lenovo’s channels will offer an inside look at players, tournament setups, and the technology powering the competition.

Esports Foundation Welcomes Lenovo’s Expanded Role

Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Esports Foundation, highlighted how crucial reliable technology is in delivering a world-class esports tournament.

“We are excited to welcome Lenovo as a Global Founding Partner for the Esports World Cup 2026, as we prepare to bring thousands of players and millions of fans to Paris this summer.”

He added that with thousands of matches taking place across seven weeks, Lenovo’s cutting-edge gaming systems will play a vital role in ensuring players compete under the best possible conditions.

Lenovo Doubles Down on Competitive Gaming

For Lenovo, the partnership represents another major step in strengthening its presence within global esports.

Volker Düring, Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo’s Gaming Business, said the company is proud to see Legion devices powering the world’s largest esports event.

“As one of the largest gaming brands in the world, we are immensely proud to have Lenovo Legion devices powering the world’s largest esports event.”

He added that both Lenovo and the Esports World Cup share the goal of enabling professional players to perform at their highest level using industry-leading gaming technology.

Building on a Successful Partnership

The expanded collaboration builds upon Lenovo’s successful involvement during EWC 2025, where more than 2,000 Legion devices were deployed across tournament operations, creator spaces, broadcast studios, and festival activities.

Last year’s tournament generated enormous global exposure, with Legion branding appearing across all 24 esports titles and reaching an estimated 750 million viewers through international broadcasts spanning multiple languages and regions.

With a larger role at EWC 2026 and deeper integration into both the competition and fan experience, Lenovo is positioning Legion as one of the premier gaming brands supporting the continued growth of global esports.
