Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) marks a decade of Filipino gaming, esports, and community spirit with four days of celebrations at Market! Market! in Taguig City.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) celebrated its 10th anniversary in the Philippines with a four-day community event at Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, from October 8 to 11, 2026. The celebration brought together players, esports personalities, content creators, and fans to honor the Filipino community that has helped shape the game’s journey over the past decade.

Part of the global ALL IN MLBB anniversary campaign, the event highlighted the Philippines’ important role in the game’s growth from its Southeast Asian roots into a global mobile gaming and esports phenomenon. Through interactive activities, celebrity appearances, community initiatives, and Filipino-inspired performances, MLBB marked the milestone by celebrating the people who have made the game part of everyday life.

MLBB 10th Anniversary Celebrates Filipino Players and Community

Over the past 10 years, MLBB has become more than a mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game for many Filipinos. It has developed into a platform where friends form squads, aspiring players pursue competitive careers, creators build audiences, and esports fans rally behind their favorite teams.

Globally, MLBB has recorded more than 1.5 billion installations and 110 million monthly active users, with a presence across more than 80 countries. Its continued growth reflects the importance of building connections with local communities and incorporating cultural references that resonate with players.

The Philippines has played a significant role in that journey. Filipino players have helped establish MLBB as a major part of the country’s gaming culture, while the local esports scene has produced professional talent, popular content creators, and passionate fan communities.

The game has also incorporated Filipino influences through its characters and collaborations. Lapu-Lapu draws inspiration from a prominent figure in Philippine history, while Paquito takes inspiration from Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. Collaborations with the SexBomb Girls and Jollibee have further brought recognizable elements of Filipino pop culture into the Land of Dawn.

Jay Wang, Head of Publishing, Philippines, at MOONTON Games, emphasized the community’s contribution to the game’s growth.

“For 10 years, MLBB has grown with its players, and the Philippines has been an important part of that journey. This celebration is our thank-you to the Filipino community—for the passion, creativity, and connections they have brought to MLBB. As we look ahead, we want to continue creating experiences that give players new ways to connect, compete, and make memories together.”

Market! Market! Hosts Four Days of MLBB Anniversary Activities

The four-day MLBB 10th anniversary celebration transformed Market! Market! into a gathering place for fans, with anniversary-themed activities, tournaments, creator content, talent appearances, and community experiences.

The event featured several familiar names from the Philippine MLBB scene, including professional players Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno and Cyric “Kingkong” Perez, MPL caster Caisam “Wolf” Nopueto, and content creators Shaira and Fuego Gaming.

Filipina actress, cosplayer, and MLBB gamer Myrtle Sarrosa also joined the celebration, bringing her passion for the game and cosplay to the anniversary festivities. Her appearance included a portrayal of Layla, one of the recognizable heroes from the Land of Dawn.

For Sarrosa, the milestone reflected the game’s lasting influence on Filipino gaming culture.

“Celebrating 10 years of MLBB feels incredibly special, especially here in the Philippines where the game has become such a huge part of our gaming culture. For me, MLBB has always been more than just a game—it’s a community that has brought so many Filipinos together, from casual players and content creators to fans of esports. I’m really grateful to have been part of that journey through the years as a streamer and cosplayer, and I’m excited to see where MLBB takes the Filipino gaming community next. Thank you, MLBB, for the many memories! To more decades of fun!”

The celebration also showcased the country’s vibrant dance traditions through a special performance, adding a distinctly Filipino touch to the anniversary stage.

#LibreNiMLBB Brings Filipino Traditions Into the Celebration

Beyond the tournaments and talent appearances, MLBB incorporated familiar Filipino customs into its anniversary activities.

One of the featured initiatives was #LibreNiMLBB, inspired by the Filipino tradition of treating friends and loved ones to food. The activity gave fans an opportunity to share moments together, reflecting the game’s emphasis on friendship and community.

Participants also received limited-edition 10th anniversary merchandise and loot bags, adding commemorative keepsakes to the festivities.

By drawing from everyday Filipino experiences, the event connected the anniversary campaign with traditions that extend beyond gaming. It reinforced how MLBB has become part of the social experiences shared by players, whether they are gathering for matches, watching esports tournaments, or spending time with friends.

MLBB 10th Anniversary Parade Truck Brings the Celebration Across Metro Manila

The anniversary festivities extended beyond Market! Market! through the MLBB 10th Anniversary Parade Truck, which travelled across key areas of Metro Manila to bring the celebration closer to local communities.

Designed as a mobile visual attraction, the truck featured a day-to-night transformation and served as a photo opportunity and check-in installation for players and members of the public.

At designated stops, fans could participate in anniversary activities, take photos, meet featured talents and cosplayers, and create content alongside fellow members of the MLBB community.

The mobile activation complemented the main event in Taguig, allowing more fans to take part in the anniversary celebrations beyond the flagship venue.

MLBB Looks Ahead to Its Next Chapter With Filipino Players

As MLBB marks its first decade, the ALL IN anniversary campaign highlights the relationship between the game and the communities that have supported its development and expansion.

In the Philippines, that relationship is reflected in the game’s presence across casual gaming, content creation, cosplay, and professional esports. The anniversary celebration brought these different parts of the community together while recognizing the cultural connections that have helped MLBB maintain its place in the local gaming landscape.

The October festivities also served as a reminder that the game’s next chapter will continue to depend on the people who play, create, compete, and share their experiences within its community.

Filipino players can follow future announcements and activities through the official MLBB channels on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.

Players can also download Mobile Legends: Bang Bang through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
