Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is pulling out all the stops to celebrate PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary with a year-long campaign filled with exciting events and partnerships. The “Make imPACt” campaign invites fans worldwide to join in commemorating the iconic character’s enduring legacy in gaming and popular culture.
Since its debut on May 22, 1980, PAC-MAN has become a beloved figure in the gaming world, captivating generations of players. To honor this milestone, Bandai Namco has released a stunning anniversary trailer, directed by Miles Cable of Bodega Virtual and produced by LEFT, showcasing PAC-MAN’s journey through the ages with modern visuals and dynamic storytelling.
The celebration includes a variety of activities and collaborations throughout 2025 and into early 2026. Highlights include:
- New Game Release: “SHADOW LABYRINTH,” a 2D action platformer with a fresh take on the PAC-MAN universe, is set to launch this year. More details will be revealed in the coming months.
- PAC-MAN Simulator on Roblox: In collaboration with Supersocial, this game will offer 45th anniversary-themed adventures for Roblox players.
- Special-Edition Accessories: PowerA will release PAC-MAN-themed gaming accessories for Nintendo Switch and Xbox platforms, while dreamGEAR and Arcade1Up will offer new electronic toys and arcade machines.
- PAC-MAN Cookbook: Insight Editions will publish a cookbook featuring recipes inspired by the game, letting fans taste what a Ghost or Power Pellet might be like.
- Sports Collaborations: Club América will offer limited-edition PAC-MAN-branded soccer jerseys and host themed stadium events.
- Museum Exhibits: The Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle will showcase a PAC-MAN display from April 30 to June 4, 2025, with a themed event on May 10. The Great Park Gallery in Irvine, California, will host a retrospective exhibition from May 18 to September 28.
- Live Experience: Starting March 22, the “PAC-MAN Live Experience” in Manchester’s Arcade Arena will invite participants to navigate a life-sized interactive maze.
To foster community engagement, a new PAC-MAN Discord channel is now live, allowing players to connect and share their love for the game. Additionally, Bandai Namco will partner with the American Red Cross for a nationwide blood drive later this year.
