PUBG: Final Circle Brings Battle Royale Action to the Tabletop With New Card Game

PUBG: Final Circle

The battle royale experience of PUBG is making its way to tabletop gaming with the announcement of PUBG: Final Circle, a new card game from Seoul-based studio and publisher CardMonster. Inspired by KRAFTON’s globally recognized PUBG intellectual property, the upcoming tabletop game challenges players to outlast their opponents through tactical card battles, character abilities, and strategic combat.

Announced on October 29, 2026, PUBG: Final Circle reimagines the familiar survival gameplay of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as a competitive card game for two to five players. Instead of fighting across a digital battlefield, participants will compete around a table, scavenging weapons and equipment while eliminating rival survivors until only one player remains.

The announcement also comes with a teaser trailer showcasing the upcoming tabletop adaptation.

PUBG: Final Circle Introduces Tactical Battle Royale Card Gameplay

At its core, PUBG: Final Circle combines battle royale survival with a trick-taking card game mechanic. Each player takes control of a character with a unique ability, while a new battleground is introduced during every round.

Players begin by drawing cards to collect weapons and items that can be used against their opponents. These encounters are resolved through trick-taking, a card game mechanic in which players must follow the colour of the first card played whenever possible.

However, choosing the right card involves more than simply playing the highest number.

Higher-numbered cards have a better chance of winning a combat encounter but inflict less damage. Meanwhile, cards with stronger damage potential are harder to win with, creating a strategic balance between securing victory and dealing enough damage to eliminate another survivor.

This system encourages players to carefully consider their moves, particularly when deciding whether to prioritize winning a confrontation or delivering a more damaging attack.

Ambushes, Character Abilities, and Equipment Shape Every Battle

PUBG: Final Circle also introduces additional mechanics that allow players to turn the tables during combat.

Survivors who cannot follow the lead player’s colour can still fight back by using counter-colour cards. Players can also trigger an Ambush by playing a card that matches the number of an earlier card, allowing them to deal damage immediately rather than waiting for the combat encounter to finish.

Once a combat encounter concludes, the winning player gets to choose another survivor to attack. However, targeted players are not entirely helpless, as scavenged equipment and character-specific abilities provide opportunities to defend themselves.

With different battlegrounds, equipment combinations, and character abilities influencing each round, players will need to adapt their strategies as the competition progresses.

The objective remains faithful to PUBG’s battle royale roots: eliminate the competition, survive the final circle, and become the last player standing.

Developed and published by CardMonster, the tabletop adaptation takes the franchise’s defining battle royale elements and translates them into a social strategy experience. Its combination of trick-taking mechanics, tactical decision-making, and player elimination aims to recreate the tension of surviving against multiple opponents.
