Stray Fawn Publishing and Metaroot have announced the release of River Towns, a captivating city-building puzzle game developed by Frogsong Studios. Set to launch on Steam on March 24, 2025, River Towns invites players to solve intricate puzzles by placing buildings and creating vibrant cities. A demo for Windows is available now as part of Steam Next Fest.
In River Towns, players are tasked with fitting differently shaped buildings into limited spaces, combining unique districts into a lively cityscape. Each of the three districts features its own set of shapes, shuffled randomly to ensure every game presents a new and unique challenge. The distinct and vibrant architecture of each district blends into beautiful towns along the river, bringing life back to an old and broken world as more townspeople move in.
The game also introduces temples, monoliths, and familiar ports floating in the skies, altering game rules in various parts of the map. Players can strategically disadvantage their enemies and boost their abilities through careful positioning.
River Towns promises a refreshing and engaging experience for puzzle enthusiasts and city-building fans alike. As the town grows, players will witness the transformation of their creations into thriving communities.
