Featuring three powerful new champions, overhauled gameplay mechanics, item reworks, new game modes, and a striking new theme: Soulforce Awakening Patch 6.2 sets the stage for a mystical, fast-paced mid-year meta shift.
Soulforce Awakening: A New Era of Power
At the heart of this update lies the Soulforce Box, a new progression system that rewards players with 12 unique prizes. Earn Soulforce Energy through gameplay and unlock Collected Legends Card Packs, chromas for the new champion Aurora, condensed ore, and more. This mechanic fuels the season-long theme of channeling inner energy to unlock otherworldly power.
Meet the New Champions: Power from Beyond
Aurora – The Witch Between Worlds
A reality-shifting AP assassin, Aurora dances between the material and spirit realms. High skill and high reward, she’s perfect for outplay-heavy laning and stylish mid-game pickoffs.
Bard – The Wandering Caretaker
With Magical Journey and Tempered Fate, Bard introduces macro control and utility, opening up cross-map plays and creative escapes that only he can pull off.
Vel’Koz – The Eye of the Void
If long-range artillery is your style, Vel’Koz brings devastating poke damage and laser-like precision, disintegrating foes from a distance with his Void Rift and Life Form Disintegration Ray.
Champion Reworks & Item Overhauls
Galio and Swain receive key adjustments to sharpen their roles:
- Galio’s Shield of Durand now scales with magic resistance.
- Swain’s Demonic Ascension gets visual and clarity upgrades to emphasize his monstrous transformation.
ADCs like Varus, Ashe, Zeri, Vayne, and Miss Fortune also see refinements to enhance their distinct playstyles.
Item changes include:
- Soul Transfer, a brand-new item that summons a clone on critical strikes.
- Revamped classics like Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, and Essence Reaver now offer clearer strategic differentiation.
- The Enchantment System is reworked to offer more role-specific power spikes.
Gameplay Changes: Faster Fights, More Fantasy
The mystical Enchanted Piggy now roams around key areas, providing bonus rewards when defeated. PvP brush layouts, objective timers, and turret defenses have all been rebalanced to promote faster-paced, action-heavy matches.
Additionally, a new Player Behavior System now tracks Honor scores—encouraging positive play and offering exclusive rewards for sportsmanship. Galio’s Aegis, introduced in Patch 6.0, returns permanently to reward top performers in losing matches.
Ultimate Spellbook & AAA ARAM Return with a Twist
Fan-favorite Ultimate Spellbook returns with a new interface, allowing players to pre-select and reroll ultimates, earning bonuses with each reroll. Over 60 new cards and Animal Archetypes join the chaos in the reimagined AAA ARAM, promising more game-to-game variety than ever before.
Ranked Updates & Wild Pass Rewards
- Grandmaster Tier now has three sub-divisions, making ranked progress more rewarding.
- New Ranked-exclusive Galio skin up for grabs.
- Wild Pass introduces Wondertown Lillia and Battlecast Urgot for those looking to level up their cosmetic collection.
Aurora’s Adventure & Exquisite Skins
A new in-game event, Aurora’s Adventure, lets players unlock the exclusive Star Guardian Jinx: Exquisite Edition—part of a newly introduced Exquisite skin tier.
