The next testing phase will start on November 25, 2026, bringing new story content, additional characters, expanded locations, and several gameplay improvements to PC, Android, and iOS.
Announced on November 5, the Final Closed Beta will give selected players a closer look at the game’s evolving world and creature-catching mechanics. Interested players can already apply by completing the recruitment questionnaire through the official Honkai: Nexus Anima website.
The upcoming test will feature a limited number of slots, with selected participants receiving access after the recruitment process. However, players should remember that all game progress and player data will be wiped once the test concludes.
HoYoverse has also confirmed that Honkai: Nexus Anima is targeting an official launch in Spring 2027, with pre-registration now available on the Apple App Store.

Honkai: Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta Brings New Adventures and Story Content
In the Final Closed Beta, players will once again assume the role of an Animaster, setting out from the town of Iia for a new adventure.
This latest test will expand on the game’s central story and gameplay, introducing new chapters, characters, Anima, locations, and features. Players will encounter new companions and formidable rivals, each with their own backgrounds and perspectives that will help shape the journey.
The town of Iia will also receive a more detailed expansion, offering players additional locations to explore. These include the grand interiors of a traditional bank, a bustling high-rise office building, and a lighthouse island surrounded by coastal scenery.
Beyond exploring the town, players will have more opportunities to make the world their own. The Final Closed Beta introduces an RV that serves as a personal resting space, allowing players to take a break during their adventures. They can also construct habitats for their Anima while exploring the open world.
These additions aim to make exploration more rewarding while giving players more ways to interact with the environments and creatures they encounter.
New Anima Forms and Guaranteed Limited Eidos Rewards
Anima remain at the heart of Honkai: Nexus Anima’s adventure, and the Final Closed Beta will introduce additional ways to encounter and interact with these creatures.
Players may discover Anima in their special Chromatic forms while exploring the world. The test will also feature younger Anima that can accompany players throughout their journey, allowing them to experience the creatures’ growth from their early stages into more formidable companions.
HoYoverse is also adjusting the Eidos Event Bond and Anima Event Bond systems, introducing more favorable guarantees for limited characters and creatures.
Under the updated system, the first five-star Eidos or Anima obtained through the respective Event Bond will be guaranteed to be the currently featured limited unit. Additionally, obtaining the featured limited Eidos will allow players to claim its corresponding Anima Companion for free.
This change gives players a clearer path toward obtaining featured characters and their matching companions, making the collection aspect of the game more rewarding.
More Ways to Interact With Anima
The Final Closed Beta will also expand the relationship between players and their Anima through additional companion interactions.
Rather than simply accompanying players during exploration and combat, Anima will have more opportunities to interact with their Animaster. These activities include holding hands, hugging, and even lifting players into the air.
More interactions will gradually become available, adding personality to the creatures and making their presence throughout the adventure feel more meaningful.
Combined with the introduction of younger Anima and their growth journeys, these features further emphasize the companion-focused experience at the center of Honkai: Nexus Anima.
Nexus Arena Introduces New Competitive Battles
For players looking for a greater combat challenge, the Final Closed Beta will introduce Nexus Arena, a brand-new game mode focused on team composition and ranked competition.
In Nexus Arena, players can assemble their preferred lineups and compete against matched opponents while attempting to climb the rankings. The mode adds another layer to the game’s combat experience, giving players an opportunity to experiment with different team combinations and strategies.
Combat difficulty will also receive an adjustment across the open world and various challenge stages. Enemies in these areas will become tougher, providing a more demanding experience for players looking to test their teams and combat abilities.
With expanded exploration, additional Anima interactions, improved reward guarantees, and a new competitive mode, the Final Closed Beta looks set to offer a more comprehensive preview of what HoYoverse has planned for the game.
