Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7 Brings Alpha, New Synergies and a Concert to the Battlefield

Magic Chess

Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7: Chrono Echoes is now live, introducing Alpha as the game’s first 7-Gold Hero alongside four new Synergies, returning favorites, and the Starbeat Stage.

The battlefield is turning into a concert venue in Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7, as MOONTON Games launches its latest seasonal update, Chrono Echoes, bringing a new lineup of Heroes, Synergies, Commanders, and music-driven gameplay features to the popular auto-battler.

Now live as of August 14, 2026, Season 7 puts the spotlight on Alpha, who makes history as the first-ever 7-Gold Hero in Magic Chess: Go Go. Players can also explore four new Synergies, revisit fan-favorite mechanics from previous seasons, and battle across the new Starbeat Stage Magical Chessboard.

With its combination of nostalgia and new mechanics, Chrono Echoes aims to make Season 7 feel both familiar and fresh for longtime Chess Masters.

Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7 Introduces Four New Synergies

At the heart of the Chrono Echoes update are four new Synergies: Echomancer, SPECTRE, Starbelle, and Mistbender.

Each introduces a different way to build and strengthen a lineup, giving players more options to experiment with during matches.

Echomancer Brings Back Heroes From Past Seasons

Echomancer taps into Magic Chess: Go Go’s history by allowing players to summon a random 5-Cost Hero from a past season to assist them in battle.

The Synergy gives Season 7 a nostalgic twist while also creating opportunities for unexpected team compositions. Players who enjoy experimenting with older Heroes will have another reason to explore different combinations throughout their matches.

SPECTRE Unlocks Alpha, the First 7-Gold Hero

One of the biggest additions in Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7 is SPECTRE, a Synergy centered around combining and upgrading SPECTRE Heroes.

Progressing through the Synergy eventually unlocks Alpha, making him the first-ever 7-Gold Hero to enter Magic Chess: Go Go.

Alpha’s arrival gives players a new late-game objective to pursue while potentially changing how high-level compositions are built around the most expensive Hero tier in the game.

Starbelle Turns the Battlefield Into a Concert

The Chrono Echoes theme isn’t just visual. Starbelle brings the concert concept directly into gameplay.

Players can equip a Hero with a special Lightstick, transforming that Hero into a Fan. Fans can then share bonuses with Starbelle Heroes, adding another layer to team-building decisions.

Once the Starbelle Synergy is activated, the battlefield changes with exclusive music and audiovisual effects, making the match feel like part of the Chrono Echoes performance.

Mistbender Adds a New Way to Spend Battle Tokens

Meanwhile, Mistbender introduces a resource-management mechanic that can influence how players develop their lineup during a match.

Players collect tokens throughout battle and can spend them in a special Shop. Additional Equipment and Hero buffs give players more ways to adjust their strategy as the match progresses.

The system could make Mistbender particularly appealing to players who enjoy adapting their compositions rather than committing to a single strategy from the beginning.

Dragon Altar and Shadeweaver Return

Season 7 isn’t entirely about new content.

MOONTON Games is also bringing back two fan-favorite Synergies from earlier seasons: Dragon Altar and Shadeweaver.

Their return gives veteran players an opportunity to revisit familiar gameplay elements while incorporating them into the wider Chrono Echoes ecosystem.

For longtime Magic Chess: Go Go players, the combination of returning Synergies and new mechanics reinforces the season’s focus on looking back at the game’s history while pushing its gameplay forward.

Franco Joins Magic Chess: Go Go as a New Commander

The Season 7 content rollout will continue beyond the launch of Chrono Echoes, with several new Commanders joining the game throughout the season.

Franco will be the first new Commander, arriving on August 21, 2026.

Franco brings his iconic Iron Hook to the Magic Chess: Go Go battlefield. His ability targets a random enemy and can steal Loot, while upgrading Franco during a match can provide a chance to reel in a powerful 5-Gold Hero.

Following Franco, Lylia and Brody are scheduled to arrive in September, while Lukas is set to join the Commander lineup in October.

Stellar Resonance Event Lets Players Go Treasure Hunting

Franco’s arrival will also coincide with the seasonal Stellar Resonance event.

Running from August 21 through September 20, 2026, the event puts Franco’s signature hook at the center of a treasure-hunting activity.

Players will be able to use the Iron Hook to fish for treasures lost across the sea of stars while working toward new collectibles.

The event gives players another reason to return to Magic Chess: Go Go throughout the early weeks of Season 7.

Starbeat Stage Makes Every Match Part of the Concert

The Chrono Echoes experience extends beyond Heroes and Synergies with the new Starbeat Stage Magical Chessboard.

The themed chessboard transforms the battlefield into a full concert venue, complete with spotlights, cheering fans, Lightsticks, music, and other stage-inspired visual effects.

Players can also unlock exclusive Chessboard Companions and refresh effects to further customize the experience.

The season’s music is another major part of the presentation, with the Stellar Voice theme song accompanying the Chrono Echoes experience.

Go Go Plaza Keeps the Season Celebrations Going

Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7 also expands the social side of the experience through Go Go Plaza.

Players can gather with fellow Chess Masters in the Plaza and take part in the Season 7 celebrations together.

The feature complements the competitive matches by giving players a dedicated space to experience the Chrono Echoes theme outside the battlefield.

Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7 Blends Nostalgia With New Gameplay

With Alpha’s debut as the first 7-Gold Hero, four new Synergies, returning favorites, a growing Commander lineup, and a concert-inspired battlefield, Magic Chess: Go Go Season 7: Chrono Echoes is shaping up to be one of the game’s most ambitious seasonal updates.

The update’s biggest strength is its combination of old and new. Echomancer and returning Synergies connect the current season to Magic Chess: Go Go’s history, while SPECTRE, Starbelle, and Mistbender introduce new strategic possibilities.

For players jumping into Season 7 on August 14, the battlefield isn’t simply getting a new set of characters and mechanics. It is becoming a stage where every match is part of the Chrono Echoes concert.

With more Commanders and events arriving in the coming months, the show is only getting started.
