Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Demo Now Live at Steam Next Fest

Fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are in for a treat as Strange Scaffold, in collaboration with Paramount Game Studios, debuts the first-ever turn-based TMNT video game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown. The demo is now available as part of Steam Next Fest, running now until March 3, 2025.

Inspired by the classic TMNT cartoon, Tactical Takedown blends turn-based strategy with beat-em-up action, offering a fresh take on the beloved franchise. The demo includes a short tutorial and a modified version of the first chapter, allowing players to engage in strategic battles against the notorious Foot Clan.

In this unique storyline, Splinter and Shredder are gone, and the Turtles are navigating the challenges of adulthood while growing apart. Players will guide Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael through 20 ever-changing levels that introduce new threats with each turn. Each Turtle boasts unique movesets and super moves, providing deep tactical gameplay. Players can customize loadouts, unlock skills, and battle figurine-like foes in a diorama-inspired world.

Tactical Takedown features a striking graphic novel-inspired art style, complete with bold paint splatters and detailed setpieces. The game’s dynamic action is complemented by a high-energy, multi-genre soundtrack from award-winning composer RJ Lake.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown demo is available now through March 3, 2025, on Steam. The full game is set to launch later this year on PC. For more updates, follow Strange Scaffold on X and BlueSky.
