Wizdom Academy Leaves Early Access on November 16 With Full Wizard School Management Experience

Wizdom Academy

Wizdom Academy, the 3D wizard school builder and management sim from Swiss indie studio Kipwak Studio and co-producer Lake On Fire, is officially set to leave Early Access and launch its full 1.0 version on November 16, 2026.

First released through Steam Early Access in April 2025, the magical management game has continued to evolve through regular updates, playtests, and community feedback. Its upcoming 1.0 release will mark the next major milestone for the Franco-Swiss indie project, giving players the opportunity to build, manage, and expand their own wizarding academy.

Build and Manage Your Own Wizard School

In Wizdom Academy, players step into the role of a Headmaster tasked with turning a magical school into a thriving academy.

The game combines 3D building with management simulation, allowing players to design their academy room by room and floor by floor. Beyond construction, however, running a wizard school means balancing students, staff, resources, magical research, and the demands of the mysterious magical authority known as the Directorium.

Players will recruit students from around the world, manage their school’s mana reserves, deal with staff demands, and make decisions that can influence how their academy develops over time.

Every school can take a different direction depending on the choices made by its Headmaster.

Students Grow Through Multiple Study Cycles

Student progression is one of the core systems in Wizdom Academy.

Students can develop more than 100 unique traits throughout their time at the academy, while players can unlock more than 50 Destinies that help shape their future paths.

Students can also return to the academy for multiple periods of study before eventually graduating. This gives the game a longer-term progression system in which the decisions made during one generation can influence the academy’s future.

Some of the strongest graduates can even remain at the school as teachers.

This creates a generational cycle where former students become part of the faculty and help shape the next generation of young wizards.

Mana Management Adds Another Layer to Academy Building

Building a magical academy is only part of the challenge.

Players will need to manage their school’s mana reserves while dealing with potential mana droughts, staff demands, and other problems that can disrupt the academy’s operations.

Resource management therefore becomes an important part of expanding the school. Players must consider how they develop their academy while ensuring that its magical infrastructure can support its growing population.

The game also features a comprehensive technology tree, giving Headmasters additional ways to develop their schools and establish their preferred approach to magical education.

Rival Academies and Professor Expeditions

The world outside the academy also plays a role in the management experience.

Wizdom Academy features rival schools that can create additional challenges as players develop their own institutions. Players can also send professors on expeditions, expanding the academy’s activities beyond its classrooms and facilities.

These systems complement the school’s building and management mechanics, giving players additional objectives as their academy grows.

The Directorium also remains an important part of the experience, with the magical authority funding and inspecting academies while making demands of their Headmasters.

Players will therefore have to balance their own plans with the expectations of the organization overseeing their magical institution.

Wizdom Academy Has Evolved Through Early Access

Wizdom Academy originally entered Steam Early Access in April 2025.

Since then, Kipwak Studio has continued developing the game alongside its community, using player feedback, playtests, and regular updates to expand its systems and improve the academy-building experience.

The Early Access period has introduced and refined major features including mana management, student progression, the Destiny system, rival academies, expeditions, the Directorium, and the game’s technology tree.

Building and management systems have also continued to receive improvements, giving players more flexibility when designing their wizard schools and deciding how they want to operate them.

The upcoming 1.0 release represents the culmination of that Early Access development period.

Wizdom Academy Launches November 16 on Steam

Wizdom Academy will officially launch version 1.0 on November 16, 2026, exclusively on Steam.

The full release will give new players access to the complete wizard school management experience, while Early Access players can look forward to the game’s transition into its full launch.

For fans of management and simulation games, the title combines traditional school-building mechanics with a magical setting, generational student progression, resource management, exploration, and academy customization.

Rather than simply constructing a school, players will be responsible for shaping an institution that can continue evolving as students graduate and return as members of its faculty.

A Franco-Swiss Indie Production

Wizdom Academy is being developed by Kipwak Studio, a Franco-Swiss indie studio based between Le Bouveret in Switzerland and La Réunion in France.

The game is being produced in collaboration with Lake On Fire, with support from Swiss Games and the Réunion Region. The project is also co-funded by FEDER (European Union).

With its Early Access development now approaching its conclusion, the studio is preparing to bring Wizdom Academy to its full 1.0 launch this November.
